Re: Running Speed Article

By you saying it does not have a large impact, do you believe it has a small enough impact to decide a close race? Do you believe that improving it could improve a track time by .1-.5 secs in lets...

Re: Running Speed Article

I can understand there not being significant differences in turnover, but I am just saying it makes a difference because it was stated that it does not. Force is important as well, but this goes in...

Re: Running Speed Article

It is also amazing that an article from livestrong about improving turnover is RUBBISH because it made a couple of bad points. Focus on the strong points and stop trying to bash it. Not all...

Re: Running Speed Article

My focus was not on the oxygen part, I did not care anything about that and is not the reason I posted the article.

Obviously I was referring to two people at the same speed or around the same speed...

Re: Running Speed Article

Your article states that force is involved in runner, which is true. Now you are going to tell me that each runner manages to swing their leg into position at the exact same amount of time? So...

Re: Running Speed Article

Yes I do, from personal experience is one thing. I used to run the 100m dash freshmen-junior year in highschool. However, senior year until now, I am not as good in it as I used to be. Since I was...

Re: 1 in 5 Restaurants Lies about Calories

I am wondering, how do they get away by it being off this much? I can see it being wrong by 100 or 200 calories, but 1000 calories?? How come people are not catching this and are not forcing them to...

Re: Running Speed Article

As a track and field athlete myself, the fact that this article states everyone's turnover is the same is not true at all. Turnover can be improving with drills and many other things. His stride...

Re: how many of you floss your teeth

I actually do not floss at all myself. I did it a couple times when I was younger, and maybe a little bit in school because my roommate had it. Besides that, I tend to not floss at all. Toothbrush,...

Re: Whole Grain? Is it healthier than not?

Most of the pros are required to stick to a strict diet. However under that level yes people do eat junk and some are successful but I am just saying not before a workout.

It does 100% depend on the...

Re: Whole Grain? Is it healthier than not?

As for short term, referring to the track and field workouts I do, it is not capable of supporting the amount of stress I put on my body on a daily basis. Nine times out of ten I am going to cramp...

Re: Whole Grain? Is it healthier than not?

I do not believe your statement is true at all. The body is not going to use the fat, protein, and carbs the same way from both of these meals. This is like saying eating mcdonalds before a workout...

Re: "different" diet question/opinion

Seasonings are perfectly fine as long as you do not over use them. They are not going to hurt you that much unless you are dipping your chicken in a bowl of bbq sauce or just using it too much. ...
