Re: Can someone please give me a base?

The short answer is, it depends, and you need to tinker.

It's up to you, your goals, and your health concerns.

If you need to lean out, I would limit fruit. Other health issues may warrant...

Re: Slightly Concerned about weight gain...

Re: Can someone please give me a base?

At every meal, eat some meat or fish or eggs. Add some vegetables or a salad if desired. Extra fat can come from nuts (sparingly) or avocados or coconut oil. High-quality butter is also fine although...

Re: how to optimize a vegan diet

You make dangerous assumptions, my friend. It has nothing to do with the fact that OP is vegan. How often have you seen posts here that say "I'm eating pretty clean Paleo but I can't lose weight" or...

Re: how to optimize a vegan diet

This works fine for some people. For other people (actually, most people, I would argue), it causes them to gain back the lost weight and then some. And then they go back to caloric restriction...

Re: how to optimize a vegan diet

No offense taken, but I can explain.

Some of us have office jobs with windows that face north... :( no sunlight for me except on weekends and sometimes lunch hours. Most people spend 80-90% of their...

Re: how to optimize a vegan diet

Do you know how to soak, sprout, grind your legumes and grains (and why you should)?

If you want to lose weight, avoid gluten at all costs (don't just consume less). Soy is terrible but tofu may be...

I may end up at the SS seminar, too. But no promises on that one yet.

Re: Meat Fest 2010

Trade her for some bacon. I hope you have a spare freezer.

I'm in for Meatfest (spectator) and in terms of bacon consumption, I count as two regular non-lifting people. But that's not saying much.

I hope you will honor the invitation that Jay extended to me a while ago on the boards. :) I think it was in the nutrition forum somewhere.

Re: Im 14 and Want to get bigger

Just to be clear, since OP seems to be a newbie:

Eat a lot of everything. But our definition of "everything" is probably different from most people's.

Re: how many eggs do you eat a week?

Dammit, at one point I was eating 84 eggs a week but even that is nothing compared to Jamie. Now I've cut back to 6 daily, only 42 per week.

And OP, cholesterol is not a problem.

Re: Stopwatch Recommendations

I don't have that one, but I do have this one:

Timex Ironman with Interval Timer

I don't recommend it, even though...
