Re: Land mine Russian Twist

I don't do this...but if I did it wouldn't be often. The barbell is in a relative fixed ellipse vs the traditional movements found in Human nature. One would find more use out of a rotational med...

Re: What do you think of Functional Patterns...?

I started following him awhile back when one of my former college teammate started to promote his work and became one of his practitioners.

Re: I want to cut body fat!

I don't 100% agree with this approach. OP wanted to cut fat, not weight. This can often be two different things. N=1, I lost 5% body fat over 6 weeks, without loosing weight.

What I do agree with...

Re: Frustration with coach

Don,

As a coach myself, I think you are in the right.

Sounds like this coach has a certain style that he uses to motivate people to get them to do what he wants or feels is right. There is nothing...

Re: How to deal with an athlete that does not want to warm up

I agree with what you did. Ultimatly your reputation as a skilled coach depends on whether or not your athletes/members are safe and see progress. If a member refuses to follow suit, and direction,...

Re: Paleo digestive issues

I suggest evaluating all of these foods in two scopes:

1. Which one of these food(s) are new to you, or are you eating in bigger portions than you were before? This could give you some insight. ...

Brian,

This data helps so much. I am actually putting together a spreadsheet of everyone that responds to me here or via the emails I sent out. From there I will be able to see averages, and...

Membership Rate of Growth

Hello,

I am working on some 36 month projections for opening up a CrossFit facility. I totally understand that there are many factors when it comes to membership rate of growth, but I was hoping...

Re: Iron and potassium

I support Naturopathic docs. I think that convention medicine has its place, but most of the conventional model is built around disease maintenance, stopping the symptoms, and not fixing the actual...

OP - I made a mistake in reading your post. Those foods I listed were high in iron. I would not recommend eatting more iron rich foods if you have higher iron levels. Instead you may want to look...

Re: What Coconut milk?

You should for sure buy the canned stuff only. It has a much better price point than the boxed stuff. Plus the boxed stuff can contain a bunch of "JUNK" ingredients.

If you need to water it down...

Re: What is your dream Open WOD? (hypothetical)

All though I suck at the HSW, I would like to see them as an open/games WOD:

Re: How many drinking Raw Milk?

Me and my wife go through about 1-1.5 gallons of raw milk a day. It is hard to find here in AZ, but we found a small family farm that sells it for cheap! $5 for a gallon of skim, and $8 for a gallon...
