Re: Rich Froning

In the short video interview at the sealgrinderpt.com link above, he mentions that he is going to use his $2011 dollar open workout money for the wedding. So it seems he got married sometime during...

Re: 2012 Open, Regional and Games thread

Thanks, good thread. I think Steven Low summed it up well with this:

"Unless they have a shot at money in competition (or don't really care I guess?), your job as a trainer is first and foremost...

Re: 2012 Open, Regional and Games thread

I agree that we don't have the quality of data that we need. But let's look at what we do have. According to Ryan Hoegner, there were at least ten in Southern California. How many participants were...

Re: 2012 Open, Regional and Games thread

It is kind of surprising, seems it would be easy for them to track this kind of information, and it would be very helpful to all.

Re: 2012 Open, Regional and Games thread

This brings up a good point, no one really has enough information to know - good or bad. It would probably require action by HQ to get the kind of reliable data that one would need.

I know Coach...

Re: 2012 Open, Regional and Games thread

It does seem like there will be a lot of injuries coming from this one. Didn't they have a box-jump WOD last year that led to a bunch of snapped achilles?

Coach Glassman's thoughts on burpees

I thought this was interesting, particularly considering WOD 1:

Marcus!

My analysis differs a tad:

The injury behind chronic low back pain, sciatica, lower extremity pain referral, possible disc...

Facebook Pukie thread deleted

I see the thread about someone from HQ running around posting all over facebook as Pukie was deleted. If you are embarassed about the things he/she is doing, the answer is to get rid of Facebook...

Re: Who has ownership of FGB?

:yeahthat:

The charity is the point, not some p****** match between HQ and Sportsgrants. If Sportsgrants can run a good event that raises a lot of money, we should all get behind that. If HQ can...

He posted a link to a crossfit.com (safe) page on the crossfit.com (also safe) forum, and he has to say whether it is safe?

I plan on doing the WODs on my own, but probably won't be paying the entry fee.

Re: CrossFit Bashing

At least his prediction about the growth of crossfit had some truth to it. The stuff I quoted isn't audacity, it's pure B.S.

Or are you saying you actually believe the stuff about crossfit creating...

Re: Reebok CrossFit Games - masters

Not true. Dara Torres is old enough to be a master's category swimmer, but she doesn't compete in the master's category.

Re: Reebok CrossFit Games - masters

You really aren't thinking through the math here. If only one man and two women in the 40-44 age group qualified for the games last year, then -- by definition -- at least 19 more men and 18 more...

Re: Reebok CrossFit Games - masters

So only three of the nearly one hundred competitors were 40+. And only one of the three, Brost, made it past the cut and completed all of the events. Kind of proves my point, I think

Re: Reebok CrossFit Games - masters

I'm old too,...
