tips for prevention!

Hey, I need some tips for prevention.

I got a history of tons of injuries I could probably have avoided.

Right now I don't workout but I do a ton of cycling and swimming (and some surfing /...

acupunture?

Hello,

I have a tennis and golfer's elbow and no matter what I do, it won't heal. I've seen many doctors and physiotherapists who can only relieve pain temporarily. I have done all the prescribed...

home-grown vegetables & fruit

Hello,

I have been trying to eat more naturally but this is very expensive...too expensive. Luckily I am blessed with a very big garden, and an OK climate (lots of rain and not very warm). So...

Re: optimizing diet

Allright, one more thing.

When drinking raw milk, without wanting to make it yogurt (will give it a try though), do you also have to boil it?

And can you keep the yoghurt longer than the...

Re: optimizing diet

Thanks for the replies. I have made a lot of improvements the past days.

One question, I read that raw milk was so good because it's not processed and because there are a lot of good enzymes. As...

Re: optimizing diet

Thanks Joe.

I am 1m75 and weight about 75 kg. My goal is getting stronger while staying lean, which works fine with this diet allthough I can obviously make it better.

Tss...the average...

Re: optimizing diet

I try to make my diet paleo-ish but I absolute don't believe in deleting whole grains. The bread is fine.
Note that the fruits are fructose, not glucose (I think).

But I fear you are absolutely...

optimizing diet

Hello,

Can anyone comment on my diet / give me better ideas?

It's far from ideal because most stuff comes out of the supermarket (my mom buys it + the good stuff is too expensive) allthough we...

finger sprain

Hi,

I got a finger sprain and obviously don't want to drop training / MMA for such a minor injury (although I drop climbing for a while).

Does taping the finger while training help? If yes, how...

Re: when rest is not helping

Stretching + squats have helped tremendously the last couple of days. As a matter of fact I did a core workout and next day I had no pain.

Have had bad experiences with physio ;)

Balancing things out in the hip

I just found out I got some imbalances in the hip area. Seems like I have done too much deadlifts and not enough squats & lunges.
Once I fix this I want to make sure I won't have more imbalances.

when rest is not helping

I have a history of injuries and it seems that rest basically doesn't help anymore. I had a tennis elbow, which is healed through some rest and some rehab exercises.
Right now I have some numbness...

Lately I have been doing a lot of surfing (and I am beginner, so I am not used to paddling so much).
Right now my shoulder hurts...the front side...

Core exercises that don't work the hips

I am looking for exercises that work the core (not just abs) without putting stress on the inside of the hip (because I have a minor injury there), I think it's the hip flexor.

My usual core...

I was wondering if it was safe to do a handstand on rings and then a handstand push up for increased ROM.

I know how the principle works: when doing horizontal pushing, also do horizontal pulling etc.

BUT lately I have been doing a ton of swimming, and in 2 weeks I will go 5 weeks surfing,...

Re: Breakfast

Never mind, I read in oatmeal thread it's better.

So basically oatmeal + milk + some pieces of fruit in it should work!
