Thanks a lot for the input!

I had certainly planned on going to a few gyms in the area to find one with the right "feel." There are many I saw on the map, and...

Re: Problems with The Garage Gym Store?

I feel the Garage Gym deserves at least a bit of a positive review here~

Re: Dip stations?

You know what, I am glad I asked and I am glad you answered. I wouldn't even have known that particular iteration existed.
That dip station/squat stand/with spotter racks is pretty awesome and...

Dip stations?

Hey,

I am thinking about getting a dip station. I do a lot of ring dips, but for weighted dips I prefer something sturdier.

The Ironmind Vulcan Racks look nice, and would offer the...

Re: Pullup bar for a wider door.

If you buy the Doorgym, or a similar product, I have found that the inside diameter of the pipe they use is 1/2 inch. So, you just head over to home depot and have them cut you two 1 foot lengths of...

Re: Battle of the Diets Talk: Stanford

My original intent was not to stir up a debate over who understands what. I just wanted to present evidence that is of interest to the Crossfit community, particularly as Zone has been adopted as the...

Battle of the Diets Talk: Stanford

Hey CrossFitters,

I know very few people have an hour to kill listening to a talk, however, I wanted the community (if it hasn't seen this already) to check out this talk. Its Dr....

Re: What benches does everyone have?

Sorry, I also just realized that even if you did get that bench, you'd still be looking at getting something to hold the bar, which represents a further investment (again, Rogue's system is what I...

Re: What benches does everyone have?

There are so many crappy cheap benches out there (just search bench on craigslist in the sporting goods section and you'll invariably come up with a ton of cheap benches with "olympic weights" and a...

Re: Caveat on B&R Bars

Re: Caveat on B&R Bars

So I own the B+R bar, and I love the bar, but I have discovered that the basement in the place I recently moved into (and keep all of my equipment in) is quite moist. I put in a dehumidifier to this...

I recently purchased the rogue pullup brackets. They come with the strike plates on the top and bottom of the mount. There are 1/2 inch holes through the strike plate that are positioned about 4 in...

Re: New Legend GHD

Hey:

For those with the footplate/movement issue- the duct tape seems to help a little, but really doesn't eliminate the play entirely. As Bill noted, it shouldn't be necessary. That said, duct...

Re: Review of Legend GHD/DoorGym/CII/some Rogue stuff

Other things I'll mention:

I have a 20 lb and a 16 lb Dynamax ball. I think that the 20 lb is the ideal weight for most work outs, and I have the 16 lb mostly because I have gotten very used to...

Re: Review of Legend GHD/DoorGym/CII/some Rogue stuff

The doorgym is a great product, except that when you order the doorgym delux, it comes with the bar you wanted so that you could do wide grip pullups- but no way to attach the thing to the door part!...
