Re: has anyone tried these kettlebells?

I actually purchased the KettleStack from Iron Woody a few years ago when I was setting up my home gym. My thought was that I would save money and have multiple weight options. Unfortunately, it...

Re: Get Rx'd Guillotine

I seriously considered going with the Guillotine from Get Rx'd, but the wonky pull up bar that rotates (see their disclaimer on the product page) and the short spotter bars put me off. I'm pretty...

Re: Quality kettlebells on a budget

Just ordered a 45lb Troy Kettlebell from Fringe based on this thread! Did a lot of research and couldn't find a better deal! I will post some thoughts/feedback once I get it and have a chance to...

Re: Super Size Me and Fat Head in class

I wish I could get back all the money I blew in my teens and early 20's on crap supplements I thought would make a difference. Anyone remember Cybergenics the 60-day transformation kit? The only...

Re: Stability of homemade wooden squat rack

I've been using my wood/cement squat stands for approximately 3 years now with no issues. They are plenty strong. I've had 350lbs on them several times, and I have even hung from the bar while the...

Re: Women's Bar (Bella Rogue or B&R)?

I have a B&R bar and love it. I bought my wife the Rogue Bella bar, and she likes it. However, she loves the knurling on the B&R bar so much better-as do I (less aggressive). She wishes she had...

Re: Strength Villain's "50 Conditioning Workouts"

I bought the conditioning e-book as a package with the GSLP E-book and I liked it. Here's why:

1. I tend to over think things so I often fail miserably at doing my own programming, so it was nice...

Re: rogue Wallmount system

I mounted a pull-up structure much like the one from Rogue (only it's home made) to a garage wall by mounting an 8' 2"x6" to the studs in the wall and then attached the pull up structure to it.

I...

Re: 29r Mountain Bikes

A couple years and still love it. Sold a very expensive Cannondale full suspension bike that I could never get comfortable on and used the money to buy the Surly. I swear the Surly rides better...

Re: 29r Mountain Bikes

The Karate Monkey is an awesome bike. Very versatile and just absolutely the most fun to ride. I love it. If your local bike shop cannot get you the right size, order one online. JensonUSA.com...

Re: Adjustable Kettlebells

I bought a pair of the Iron Woody Kettle Grips a couple of years ago and they have worked very well. There are a couple things, however, that if I had known before hand, would have made me opt for a...

Re: Pull up Rack

I used to tape my bar, but quit doing so after reading a post on here. Now I just use a bare bar and lots of chalk. My hands no longer rip. You can try both and see which you like best as tape is...

Re: Mix and matching bumper plates on a bar

I have the same set-up with the Pendlay Econ's and Rogue Hi-Temps. I actually like the fact that the pendlay's are a smidge bigger. I always put them on the inside, then the other plates will slide...

Re: Looking to buy a new road bike

Ed,
I would echo what Tarun stated. I'll also add that making sure you get a bike that is comfortable is really important. If you do not enjoy riding the bike, you'll end up with expensive art...

Re: Garage Gym in Winter?

If you can, bring/store your barbell inside the house. It'll stay nice and warm and you will not have to wear gloves-unless it's below freezing in your garage.

Re: Nutritional advice for a petite female

Britton,
If at all possible, try to get no less than 8 hrs of sleep per night (more if possible) for a couple of weeks and see what that does for you. As stated in one of the earlier posts cortisol...

Re: Paleo and Strength Loss

I would tend to think that there is a higher probability that your strength was lower due to some other externality (i.e.-having a bad day, not enough sleep, low energy, stop focusing on strength for...

Don't worry-not feeling picked on. I will ask you if you have used both brands of plates (dropped from at least shoulder height) what your experience has been. I get what you are saying, and I have...

Re: Pendlay Econ V2 vs. Rougue Hi Temp

Re: Pendlay Econ V2 vs. Rougue Hi Temp

Glenn,
I have a 260lb set of Rouge Hi-Temps and a pair of the Pendley Econ 45lb plates. I really like both. The main difference that I have noticed is that the Hi-Temps are a little softer (don't...
