Re: Shipping Rogue Ohio Bar (or any oly bar) to Australia

Sorry it took so long but I have that quote.

$215 ocean freight charge
$25 filing charge
$15 Rogue shipping cost

Total of $255

And that's without any of our handling charges. I'd say go with the...

Re: Shipping Rogue Ohio Bar (or any oly bar) to Australia

I read it as you were going to try to go outside of Rogue for the shipping. I can find out how much it would cost if we were to handle it.

Re: Shipping Rogue Ohio Bar (or any oly bar) to Australia

What about going with a Pendlay bar? They have an Australia distributor, http://www.muscledriverau.com.au/ SFW. In the end it would be a similar price to the Ohio bar if you did the $260 shipping. I...

Re: Infinity Rig "Riser"

Bill,

Is it not recommended to turn a 12' to a 15'? We have a wall mounted rig with a 12' upright for muscle ups, the ceiling in our building is about 30' so it would be difficult to rig something...

Re: Reebok nano 2.0

Dick's and Eastbay are currently running $20 off orders over $100, you would be able to get nanos for $89 with free shipping

Re: Comparison: Rogue Spealler Rope vs. Again Faster Rev X Rope

Nice Review. The again faster rope is the exact same as the R1 speed rope from http://www.jumpnrope.com/R1rope.htm (WFS) which is $22+shipping. They even note in the description it was designed by...

Re: Few Concept 2 Rower questions

You can change the resistance with the damper, from 1-10. I just got one so I'm easing into it, doing 1000m before bed most nights and intervals as well, I plan on increasing the meters every week....

Re: The $300 Gym and Starting Crossfit.

Definitely go for a barbell and weights of some kind, steel or bumper. I've seen olympic weight sets (steel) on craigslist for as low as $170 and on the high end $250, and that's typically 250 pounds...

Re: Snatch Technique Critique

This is a good video of the first pull, http://vimeo.com/56667730

One thing I didn't notice at first what that your shoulders are directly over the bar for just about the entire lift. Like what...

Re: shorts...

I personally don't like the thick velcro on the fight short style of shorts, I like to feel the bar make contact when I do snatches. The material is nice though, I wouldn't pay $60 for them

Re: Snatch Technique Critique

In your start position you are basically in a squat, hips at the same level as you knees. You want to start with you hips higher than your knees, this way you can let your hamstrings do work. Set up...

Re: Snatch critique

Even if you're standing straight up the bar isn't in your hip crease? Like I said before I'm no expert, but the only other thing I can think of is to pull the bar back by bending your arms. Not...

Re: Snatch critique

You're right about your back, try to set it before you start. Your hips start too high and rise first, what helped for me was to think exaggerated chest up. Also, going a bit slower on the first pull...

Re: Clean and Jerk. Deadlift. Questions.

In regards to the clean, I would suggest trying to "sweep" the bar back toward your body once you clear the knees, that will keep it close to you. Also, for the final extension it looks like you just...

There a much more qualified people on here to answer your questions, but I'll give my opinion. To me your form looks good, I would suggest posting a video of a 125 snatch, so we get a better idea how...

Snatch Check

This is a PR for me. I messed up when I cropped it and cut out the first pull, so it starts from just below my knees. I'm included another video of my old PR that shows the entire lift.

Somethings...
