Re: comprehensive barbell list 2015

Barbells are the only thing that carry a warranty beyond 30 days.

Re: comprehensive barbell list 2015

I based that comment on the fact that previous version Pendlay bars had their warranties stripped away when they switched mills. Those voided warranties were also lifetime warranties at the time of...

Re: comprehensive barbell list 2015

I think the fact that there are so many 20+ year old Eleiko's still in use is a testament to their methods.

About that lifetime warranty... yeah right.

Re: comprehensive barbell list 2015

It's oil, if anything at all. The Ohio(s) are bronze bushing bars, not bearing bars.

Re: Am I overthinking this?

Both Rogue and Vulcan have a hard time keeping bars in stock. That's good for them I suppose, but it sucks when you're ready to buy and you can't find anything.

Re: Am I overthinking this?

Used weights are fine, but do yourself a favor and buy a real bar not some POS from the sporting good stores. You don't have to have a $500 bar, but you deserve better than a $85 piece of scrap...

Re: Home Gym/AmStaff equipment question

Go with the Chan. Klokov is not as whippy as you think, but it is a rust factory and extremely overrated. B&R is a nice choice too if you don't mind cleaning it often. Get a full rack, screw stands...

Re: Can you identify this bar?

That type of cap is used so that you won't take it apart, but yes, you can disassemble any bar. There are guides on how to remove those types of caps, and it requires drilling a hole into it. You may...

Re: WTB: Looking to purchase Jcups for Rogue S-1

Yeah I'm a little confused by this post... you obviously have Internet, is there some reason you don't just buy them from Rogue?

Re: Ohio bar sleeve question

A week old bar shouldn't slow down like that. Something isn't right. Email Rogue, they'll take care of it right away. They always do.

Re: comprehensive barbell list 2015

I have a feeling that it would indeed bring the price closer to the other IWF bars. I don't know the exact annual fee for IWF certification, but it's a lot I hear.

That doesn't look right... Bill will probably chime in on that. Is it just the 25's?

Re: Got to play with a Rogue Olympic WL bar today

It sounds like the version I have is like what you describe for your first bar. The hash marks are scratchy, the chrome isn't exactly shiny, and as you mentioned, the spin is adequate, but not...

Re: Got to play with a Rogue Olympic WL bar today

What is it about the review that makes you think that the Klokov is comparable to the Rogue WL bar? You mentioned that you have the Klokov, do you also have a Rogue WL bar?

I ask you this because my...

Re: Looking to buy an Olympic BB

At those weights, Mike makes a valid point. Drop $600 and never look back. Rogue Oly, Vulcan professional, DHS trainer. Just get it over with so you're not doing this all over again in a year.

Re: Looking to buy an Olympic BB

The Rogue 28 mm Training Bar is the Rogue Oly shaft, but Ohio-style sleeve assembly. Expect sleeve rotation to be on par with most Rogue bushing bars. People clean and snatch on Rogue bushing bars...

Re: Bill Henniger! Get in here and answer once and for all!

Great question.

Vertical storage scares me. Sticking the sleeve into a steel pipe is just asking for nicks and scratches. I put a decent barbell into a landmine once... once! Regretted it the very...
