I tore mine in my 30's skiing. No cartilage damage and my joints are so lax they at first thought it was a bad sprain. I waited 10 years for reconstruction.

My doc was the Houston Rockets ortho for...

Re: Is there a point where one should stop lifting more weight?

I don't have anything to add to the discussion except that this a great thread, full of helpful comments, and not a snark in sight.

Re: Quitting Dipping (support requested)

Good for her. It's indeed an accomplishment.

I bet she received a lot of encouragement and advice along the way.

It's not a question of what's harder..doesn't matter, and it's different for all...

Re: Quitting Dipping (support requested)

Nice Renee'

Why the snark?

Quitting any addiction cold turkey is very hard, and the failure rate high.

Re: Quitting Dipping (support requested)

It's not about priorities. The guy is trying to quit.

It's about kicking a tough addiction.

My room mate is dealing with smoking; This quit, he went to his doc and got some pharma help; mainly...

Re: Slap Tear

And to be clear, I' never propose giving up the movement.

I owe CF a lot, it introduced me to KB's, body weight stuff, Oly lifts, intelligent nutrition.

I am not saying anyone or anything is to...

Re: Slap Tear

I don't know how many SLAPS or anything else or caused by what have you.

We are seeing more than a statistical blip (IMO) of such injuries.

I for one would like someone to look into it and ask...

Re: Slap Tear

People need to understand a few things about the shoulder:

- it's the largest joint in the body
- it has the greatest range of motion
- when it gets eff'd up you are pretty screwed.
- no...

Re: Slap Tear

Agreed Darla

I haven't posted in some time; but the arrogance of the "stop blaming the programming" comment is just too much.

There are way too many SLAP tears happening...and many (most?)...

I don't think you need a blackberry.

For your box, look at the box set plans from www.bandwidth.com.

Re: Used C2 rower for $350...need opinion

In a gym, getting 20K a day??

What gym is that? The C2s I've seen in gyms were most likely suffering from UNDER use.

Zanfel works very well.

Be sure to educate yourself about systemic infection, and watch for it. The zanfel site is informative

Re: Chemicals and PVC Pipe (Slosh Pipe Construction Related)

Please be sure to use non toxic (pink) antifreeze.

Should your pipe break and spill, there is no way that you could recover all of the toxic anti-freeze. And if a pet finds, the pet WILL driink it...

Re: What's a fair price for a Concept II Model C?

I don't get it. You would only pay half of the new price? What about shipping?

For me it's about minimizing my total $$ outlay. If it's truly a barely useed model C, it is "worth" more than...

Re: What's a fair price for a Concept II Model C?

Yep that thread kinda confirms my point. A new D is 850, PLUS shipping.

There is really no functional difference between a C and a D. The D has the ergo bar and a newer PM, but the the C is...
