Re: CrossFit A Good Place to Start For Big Guy?

6'3" & 260lbs :yikes:
Thanks to a major ankle fracture & surgery, Crossfit has sat in the corner like a loaded gun waiting to be used. I've been roughly following the Zone but am starting to think my...

Re: Food scales?

If your looking for a (relatively) plain scale, COSTCO/Price Club has a digital scale for ~$20.
Lets you zeroize the scale after putting a plate/bowl on it & measures in imperial/metric.

Re: Broken Ankle

Man, I'm in the same boat as well. Got out of surgery Tuesday. Just moving around on the crutches is a mini workout.
Is there anything on top of following the zone that will help speed up the healing?

What I'm interested in is a meal planner of sorts. I have the menu from CFJ 21 on the fridge to follow but would like something that would verify other meals I make.
If the tool/app you...

Question Re: Good tool for calculating precise amounts of protein, carbs, & fats in foods

I took a quick look at Nutridata (w/f/s). What's the best way to use the site, enter your meals & see how they rate or is there a planning tool where you can plug in the zone ratio's & it gives meal...

Re: How to study (continuing personal enlightenment)

SQ3R=survey, question, read, recite, review.
This is assuming your reading for information Nick.
As Steve mentioned, if your really interested in the information, it will tend to stick better :)

Re: Tried Out For American Gladiator

Becca:
When we did the "super hero" quiz a few months back, I suggested you would be Wonder Woman.
My comment still stands; best of luck with the Gladiators.

I would think the answer would come down to what your after: GPP, strength, speed, etc. Only you know what you want from your fitness program.
If your after the most bang for the buck & starting...
