Re: Cruising Tips

For a cruise; no. Generally, you're better to book directly from the cruise line. A cruise is an all-inclusive experience. Any shore excursions which you are likely to participate in are best...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Christy, Thanks. It does state the 30 day policy and I agreed to it when I joined the gym. What I am taking issue with is that they're saying that 30 days doesn't start until Sept 1st (since I have...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Thank you for the suggestions. I have written the head of the company and given him the opportunity to resolve the matter. If he does not respond or attempt to correct the matter, I plan to take the...

Re: Cruising Tips

Scott, you're right. Waiting until the last minute is a ballsy move that could pay off, or blow up in your face. It is a feat better accomplished by those who live near a port (Miami, Canaveral,...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

You are correct, Sir.
My issue with "the system" arises from the fact that "the system" (and its early invoicing practices) are not mentioned in my original contract with Metro 24/7. If the gym...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

This isn’t so much a “seen at the globo” as it is an “experienced at the Globo” post.
I belong to a small globo chain down here in Central Florida called Metro 24/7 Fitness. It is your standard...

Re: Cruising Tips

I've been on a number of cruises on several different carriers. My favorite, by far, is Holland America, followed by Royal Carribbean. They're both a little more mature than some of the other lines....

Re: Local temperature

I think we've all had an ex like that at some point; whether we know it or not.

Re: Local temperature

This made me laugh out loud. Just the matter-of-fact nature of the statement, not that your ex-girlfriend was a whore.

In regards to hydration, Chris Carmichael (Lance Armstong's trainer) did a...

Re: Anyone From Miami? Or know the area well?

My brother went to the University of Miami and I was down there quite frequently. Coconut Grove is a lot of fun. It is more of a college bar/pub scene than the night club see-and-be-seen scene of...

Re: Local temperature

Nicole,

I'm in Central Florida. It is pretty bad here too right now. On the days when I work out outside I will do it after sundown so it is a little cooler and there is no direct sunlight scorching...

Re: Good lunch for a college guy

Dane,

1) Buy a bunch of the Gladware reusable containers
2) Buy a soft-sided cooler
3) Buy several cooler packs
4) Cook for the week on weekends (chicken breasts, pork chops, steaks, veggies, salad,...

Re: CF in relation to Marathon/Iron Man Training

Bill,
If you're having shin splint problems you're likely overstriding and/or landing heavy. Don't push it and take time to let the shin splints heal. When you come back to running, try and shorten...

If no shaker cup available, sub with hitting on the girl in the velour tracksuit, wearing make-up and slowly walking sideways on the Stairmaster.

Post Time and Number of Cheesy Pick-Up Lines to...

Re: How to stay healthy with long & unpredictable hours?

If you can keep a mini fridge at work I think your problem is solved. You just need to make sure that you work out a schedule of restocking it.
I cook meals for the week on Saturday, separate them...

Frank looked back on the cobbles. I didn't think he would be coming back after I saw him splayed out on the...
