Return the belt, pay the money for shipping, etc. It will be money well spent. You will want the belt to be tight, especially for powerlifting.

Straps are a tool. Use them wisely. Straps will allow you to train past the point when your grip is the weak link. Olifters and powerlifter use straps to train heavy pulls. Good Luck!

rdl's are safe, if done properly. They have great carry over to the olifts and deadlift. gm's are also safe and a very useful exercise especially for the low bar back squat.

If torn and bleeding, cut flappers off. Clean with warm soapy water. If able, apply alcohol wipe. This will sting. If not alcohol use hydrogen peroxide. This may sting. Let air dry. Neosporin often....
