I highly advise extreme caution with the roller. I though it would help me when I was at 3 weeks and it was severely painful and set me back at least a week in noticed pain.

class 2 tear. It was close to a 3. Still doing pt, might need surgery to remove excessive scar tissue.

I can't say for 8's. But from using VFF's compared to previous "running/cross training sneakers", I'll put up with the terrible time I have trying to do DUs consistently(sucked at them before VFFs...

I'm just coming back from a calf muscle tear from 2 months back. Did LOTS of push ups and pull ups. Traditional sit ups were ok for me, I didn't want to try GHDs. Most of all, DON"T RUSH THE LEG....

search "mobility wod". Kelly Starrett from crossfit san francisco is amazing. Look on youtube. My shoulders are better because of his vids. It also helped my hips and calf muscles.
