Re: Xebex rower/air bike

Honestly I'd love to see some good competition for rowers pop up. C2 wholesales those for almost the same as the retail price, so the instant a good alternative comes out, I'd be very interested.

Re: Plastic coating for Jcups

You can get UHMW with tape backing. It may come loose sometimes, but it's probably more durable than any spray you might use.

Re: comprehensive barbell list 2015

Cool review!

What I wonder is where the price differences come from. That was the most interesting thing to me besides the whip test. It seems like most of the differences were personal preference...

Re: Can't decide on a bar...

Question for those who have a Chan bar: Where do you put your hands for deadlifts? It looks like the knurl starts really far out and unless you're a big dude, you're gripping bare steel or having to...

Re: Any reason as to why the coloring of plates is different in LBs v KGs?

We went with matching the International standard simply to avoid creating confusion for those who are familiar with color competition plates. 55 lb = 25 kg, 45 lb = 20 kg, etc...

One reason VTX...

Re: Competition Plates

^Bounce is mostly determined by the rubber formulation. It's why hi-temps will bounce high, while most other plates (like ours, pendlay's, etc...) will bounce much less. It sounds like these Eleiko...

Re: Competition Plates

^Thanks for the kind words Andrew! We actually released version 2 of those competition plates, which is why version 1 is low on stock as we phase those out.

Re: How to attach sisal ropes with eyelets to the roof (beam)

Do a search for an i-beam clamp with eye bolt. It will clamp onto your i-beam and allow you to hang your rope's clamp on it very securely. Google searching for "hang rope from i-beam" will get you...

Re: Minimalist Squat Rig...

The item you're looking for is called a squat rack, so you'll have a lot more luck finding examples if you search for that term. Since you need a rack capable of handling 400+ lbs, $300 for a rack is...

Re: SMAI OLY Barbell

At first glance it seems like a decent $200 bar, except their rating of the strength of the steel is really really low. I'm not sure if they meant to rate it as "500 lbs is a good working weight max"...

Re: CrossFit bumper plate list

Thanks for the kind words Andrew!

Very true for lots of things. For some reason, it's a psychological thing and part of the reason why Amazon prices things they way they do. As long as the...

Re: Bumper question

Mixing rubber with iron is always a bad idea for both the bar and the plates. You're putting a ton of stress on the hi temp plates because they are the only plates absorbing the shock when you drop...

Re: Rogue Echo Bumpers

There are multiple plants in China making bumper plates. Even at the same plant, they can use multiple formulations and designs for various customer preferences or cost-savings.

Re: Fringe Sports OFW OneFitWonder Wonder Bar, version two.

There are a lot of little things you'll notice. Smooth spin on the sleeves reduces strain on your wrists on Oly lifts. Well constructed sleeves are quieter when the bar is dropped. Good knurl is...

UPS and Fedex both have pages to put in the dimensions and shipping to/from to get a rate quote. I'd just throw it in the tube and tape up both ends really well with shipping tape that has the fibers...

Re: Black Friday

Just an FYI, but C2 barely gives any margin for their dealers to make anything on them, so they're basically never going to be on sale for any significant amount unless c2 sells them directly for a...

Re: Sounds of Bumpers

Bar will make a difference too depending on its sleeve construction. Many bars have sleeves with a good amount of play in them, so when they hit they wobble around and clank into the shaft. Some bars...

Re: 10% off Pendlay Bearing Bar and Bumpers
