You cant start too light... Even if your first few sessions arent as heavy as you think they should be, that will be remedied soon enough. Its much much worse to start too heavy.

Yeah I agree with this, but its nothing new unfortunately around here... One thing I can say is doing the 5-3-1 program while following the mainsite sounds like a huge recipe for disaster.

Yep, and SS both versions, plus been to his barbell cert... People are confusing Starting Strength the program and other beginner lifting programs (a few of which are listed/recommended in PP).
