Re: Variable resistance tire flipper

Thanks for your feedback gentlemen,

Robert, there are actually a number of different lifts that can be done with this piece of equipment that you wouldn't be able to do with a tire. It can actually...

Variable resistance tire flipper

Well, it's been a while since I've posted here, but I wanted to see what everyone thinks about this new piece of equipment from a company called Milo Fitness. I think this might be a really good...

Re: Broken foot - squats?

Travis, I broke my foot in the same place a few years ago and continued to squat, deadlift, press, benchpress, and I even did a few powercleans. My squat and dead form improved so much that I...

Re: Starting Crossfit in Iraq

Welcome to the crossfit community! I currently live in Denver and don't get down to the Springs much at all, but I know of at least a few crossfit gyms down there, and I'm sure you'll find lots of...

Re: Snoring

Do you consume any alcohol before sleeping? The reason I ask is because I'm normally not a snorer, but if I have even one drop of alcohol before bed, snoring will undoubtedly ensue.

Re: Does this ever happen to anyone?

Yes, it has happened to me before. Worse than that though, I've looked at the time, forgotten to push stop, then gone to write it down later and can't remember what time I got. I'm usually not...

Re: Before and after WOD

Typically 1 WOD. Look on the FAQ page for more information. Warm up generally involves 3x10-15:

ring dips

Re: Box Jumps = Lower back pain. Please help

Natalie,

It depends on how high the box is, but I would guess that your landing on top of the box is relatively soft. Landing on the ground, however, is probably an afterthought for you, and...

Re: Need some advice

As far as supplements go, I don't have much to offer you that you don't already know. The standby's are creatine, a good whey protein, maybe some BCAA's and fish oil. Most of the other stuff out...

Re: How much is too much avacado ?

You can never have too much avocado as far as I'm concerned, but if you feel like you might be eating too much, then dial it back. As long as everything goes down alright, I don't think you'll have...

Re: I'm convinced but Wife isn't.

Sonny, there are many ways to go with this question, but let me see if I can start the conversation off with just a few points.
1) Many people donít exercise or move around all the much for that...

Re: Box Jumps = Lower back pain. Please help

Would probably have to see your movement to pinpoint what is causing the lower back pain. Have you gone to have yourself checked by a physio? It could be too much rounding of your lumbar spine...

Re: Paleo Protein Bar Ideas

If you want a paleo protein bar, I recommend homemade jerky! There's a great recipe on the boards for "angry jerky" that I just took the salt out of and it works for me. As for a tasty bar (more...

Re: Pullup Question

Hmmmm, are you in any danger of hitting your face into the bar? When I kip, if I were to get my chin 2 inches below the bar, I would end up with cracked teeth (which has actually happened before),...

Re: New to crossfit, how many WOD per day?

All the advice above is great, and I have one more thing to add. When crossfit radio first aired there was an episode (sorry, can't remember which one) where they interviewed an athlete (once again,...

Re: is a serious injury with crossfit inevitable?

A "serious injury" due to crossfit is not inevitable and I would actually argue that crossfit could possibly protect you from a serious injury. In my case I've been crossfiting off and on for about...
