Re: Tendonitis?
Ok, I uploaded a picture. Sorry, I don't know how to mark the pic... The pain is sharp and directly below the word patella. What I cannot target is if it's located in that white tendon connecting the...

Re: Tendonitis?
Hmm, well when you mentioned tightness in the quad, I do notice that there is a weird feeling as I squat...maybe like it's weaker. I honestly could just be imagining that, and its definitely not...

Re: Tendonitis?
Thanks Steven. Just curious, what makes you think it's not tendinitis? I don't quite feel any tightness in the other leg muscles (or more tight than they already always are...). But there is an...

Re: Flexibility
I'm not a big guy, but I do have a bigger build for a small guy (5'6, 170). I also had shoulder surgery. Didn't have time to read the links the others have posted so maybe this has been said before. ...

Re: Golf and CrossFit
It has been awhile since I've posted on these boards! Anyways, I'm a relatively newbie CrossFitter, but as a golfer (I was an instructor at the Golf Digest Schools) maybe I can give a basic answer. ...

Re: Shoulder Dislocates: Stick -vs- Band?
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I will use the bands in the future.
I wish I had a camera to get pictures up of my shoulder/back area. When doing the dislocates stretch, it almost feels as if it...

Re: Shoulder Dislocates: Stick -vs- Band?
But what if I am someone who suffers from shoulder instability AND has poor ROM. For example, with a stick/dowel, this stretch is very difficult for me, and I always feel like something might "give."...

Re: Shoulder Dislocates: Stick -vs- Band?
Garett: I too am curious about what you mean when you say "the back part" of shoulder dislocates. Do you mean that you should try to bring the stick/band as far back over your head without continuing...

Re: Exertion Headaches
The fact that it happens in us young guns definately doesn't surprise me. I know trying to avoid caffeine, alcohol, and an unhealthy diet is certainly hard for a guy in college. Caffeine is a major...

Re: Exertion Headache?
Thanks for the help Steve. I really appreciate all of your advice.
I think it's the diet and the water. I definately don't think it will hurt to go back to my normal diet/sleeping patterns.

Re: Mysterious Shoulder Pain!
Hi Chris, could it possibly be a very partial shoulder subluxation? Subluxations are not always painful, and the clicking you hear sounds very similar to my instable right shoulder (see "shoulder...

Re: Mysterious Shoulder Pain!
By itself, abduction doesn't cause the pain; it's abduction with ext. rotation tha causes the pain...lots of it. Kind of hard to describe the exact location of my pain. I'm going to say it's anterior...

Re: Kipping, dips and shoulder problems
Sorry to hear that, Nick. While CrossFit style exercises aren't new to me, the CrossFit Routine is. My shoulder sounds like yours. Does the clicking/grinding/poppin hurt? Mine doesn't, but it's still...
