Firstly my rack position sucks so I have to hold onto the bar the whole time from the squat to the press. The problem I have is when I stand and go to press I get pain in the rear shoulder. Now the...

Re: Overhead Squat Mobility

Ankle mobility will play a big part, I struggle with ohs and receiving the snatch in a low position as well. One thing I did that seemed to help was to squat against a wall sliding down it with a...

To the original post..If your a trainer you will get wholesale price from Australian Kettlebells. I buy pretty much all my gear from them and have no reservations recommending them.

Re: Globo posting CrossFit as a class

I don't think the same can be said about the gym. Gym's are just money driven, more members = more money and if someone gets hurt they would blame the gym they are at and not every gym in the land....

Re: Quick Murph question

OK...tackled Murph the other day finally. It was one of those workouts I wanted to do but kept putting it off. So I decided to partition 10 pull ups, 20 push ups, 30 squats X 10 sets. Got through it...

Is there a standard for box jumps? by this I mean can the legs remain bent landing on the box before going back down or are you suppose to fully extend to an upright position and then go down?

Re: Wall Chart/Diagram of Olympic Lifts

I've found the Starting Strength DVD by Mark Rippetoe really good. It has squat, deadlift, bench press, press and clean.
I also bought the book with the dvd.
