Re: Do me a favor...

My form collapses a little on the way down when it gets heavy. The only solutions I've found to this are to do a drop and follow. Essentially you are dropping the weight but you keep your hands on...

Re: Working out with 12 hr shift

I work some very long days (and some very short days) and travel internationally for work. I've found working out after a long day is the best recipe. Once you get used to it the last few hours of...

Re: Coming back from disk herniation

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'll try the tape trick and see if I can feel it. Also will look to strengthen spinal erectors.

Re: Coming back from disk herniation

You are right, my posture is terrible. I'm not exactly sure how to correct it. I spend a lot of time in front of a computer for work and I tend to slouch. What I mean is I tend to slightly arch my...

Re: Sprint workouts

This is a great question.

Anyone have any good sprinting workouts for getting faster? I play some indoor soccer and would love to gain a step or a step and a half on my competition.

In high school...

Coming back from disk herniation

So I slipped a disk last September. It was a relatively minor herniation with some sciatica, and lots of pain, spasms, and muscle stiffness.

Both chiropractor and spinal surgeon agreed on...

I've had individual cross-fit sessions payed for by my employer while traveling overseas.

I got a few good session in during my last trip to Colombia. One thing to note is that the trainers there...

Re: Do I have Rhabdo? Or am I just panicking?

To the original poster:

I've had the same symptoms once and it was not Rhabdo. I recovered after two or three days of rest.

I did one workout that ramped up my usual volume by 30% or more,...

Re: Does this sound like exercise related asthma?

Your throat isn't involved in an asthma attack.

There was a similar post to yours a few months ago that was resolved on this forum. I'd try a quick...

Re: Albany, NY area PT's and Doc's

I didn't read all the posts above and I probably wont. The second post by the OP mentioned he had some petellofemoral pain and that there wasn't much he could do for it.

I had serious PFPS...

Re: Creatine stomach problems

It sounds like a food sensitivity to me.

The best option is to stop taking it. Plenty of elite athletes the world over don't take creatine so its not like its a requirements to becoming fit.

Re: Again Faster - Review of service

If it was rolling around outside of the packaging the blame is with Again Faster. That's how this works guys. They have to make sure their packages have enough strength to handle the contents.

Re: McDonald's? Wendy's? Subway??

I agree with this - Subway can be really good for you in a pinch. You just have to order carefully. I like how they are extremely careful with their serving sizes. Everything is pre-measured and...

There is an estimation technique that uses your resting heart rate and...

Re: Newbie looking for advice from coming back from surgery and WODing on my own

I'm new to CrossFit as well but I thought I'd offer some advice. I agree with the above poster who says to use the help of a box at first. My advice is about working out on your own (for off days,...
