I would rip that pad out and pour a new one by hand then toss a diy platform on it. Just remember that platform would get weathered.

I do as the doc said. If it kills you that much the only thing I might do is a stationary bike as long as your not placing stress on any areas. I sat out after breaking a femur. 3 weeks is nothing.

You can go that route. I used 3/4 plywood to protect my garage floor. I don't want to spend time or money fixing it if I need to sell it.
