Re: Weighted Box Jumps

In your own words, this is not a sandbox. You still found it necessary to tattle on me to the mods. Hilarious. The mods are lucky to have you roaming the forum for outlaws such as myself. No ban...

Re: Weighted Box Jumps

Okay then, thanks Mark. Are you officially banning me or should I wait for an official notice from a moderator?

Re: Weighted Box Jumps

So forum members are not allowed to give each other jabs? Give me a break. Crossfit has a bad reputation the way it is, do you really need to babysit adults in a public forum? In the event the all...

Wods incorporating erg

There has been some erg talk here recently which got me thinking...I'd like to start a thread of creative ideas people have used to incorporate the erg into their workouts. I came to CF from indoor...

Re: 500m row times

Dean, here is another session you could add to the mix if you choose. 10 x 1', 1' rest. At your current level you should shoot for a pace of 1:40 on each one, which would give you 300m each minute.

Re: 500m row times

The 6x500 with 1' rest is a standard session while training for a 2k, and it's done at 2k pace, so you keep the rest very minimal.

Namir and I differ in our opinion of the 8x200 session. I use the...

Re: 500m row times

I guess the reason you'd do a 500m time trial would be to see how fast you can do it:) It's a good trial to measure your power output as you become stronger and more fit. It can be done very quickly...

Re: Home-Made WODS

Bumped up one of my measurement workouts today. Did 16,000 last time and broke 10 minutes so moved up to 17,000 today.

6 rds:
5 squats at 245
5 deads at 325.
10:50 ( total lbs lifted at or just...

Re: Klokov performs workout DT (3 round version)

I think people need to get a grip on reality when it comes to crossfit athletes. Many great athletes in the Games of course. However, keep in mind that the best athletes in the world don't compete in...

Re: Online Back Squat Challenge - $700 in Prizes

I will enjoy seeng the numbers if anybody participates. Unfortunately I can't justify destroying myself for $200. Well, I wouldn't win anyway, so I can't justify destroying myself for nothing:)

Re: 500m row times

While 1:30 is certainly a respectable time, calling it anywhere near elite is a bit misleading. That is about 480 watts. The world record is about 1:11 and about 975 watts. More than double the power...

Re: 500m row times

One thing to keep in mind when comparing times is that a 1:35 and 1:25 are world's apart. The ergometer uses a formula which I cannot pull from memory, but it is an exponential curve, not linear....

Re: Master's deadlift/box jump workout

Great time Michael. I tried it again several weeks later and was able to break 10, so at least I wouldn't have timed out in the competition. As much as it hurts, that's one of my favorite workouts.

Re: Concept 2 Excellent Customer Service

I don't understand your statement. You admit they have a great product, and there is nothing comparable, yet they should sell it for nothing? You can always go buy a knock off POS for really cheap....

Importance of specific barbells?

I admit to being extremely naive on this topic. I see so many threads about different barbells, and i always think, who cares??? Honestly, if a barbell weighs 45 lbs and holds olympic size plates,...

Re: What is a good 2k row?

As others have said, great job. Any PR on the erg is an accomplishment. One word of caution, doing time trials on a regular basis is a common source of complete burnout. They are too mentally and...

Re: Home-Made WODS

6 rds for time:

5 squats at 225
5 deads at 315

9:55.

This is a total of just over 16k lbs. I use 40% of weight as squats, 60% deads (or as close to that as i can get with round numbers). When i...

I'd like to see world record holder in the decathlon Ashton Eaton. And one of the powerfully built world class sprinters, they have probably done a fair amount of olympic lifting. How about so e of...

Master's deadlift/box jump workout

After watching the archived workout of 21-15-9 deads (315), box jumps (30") i had to try it being in that age group. Wow. Took me 11 minutes. Winner in Games was under 5. Just when you think you're...

Re: Kettlebell Sandbag.

On his blog he mentions a kevlar version offered on the Seal site, but I don't see it there. He could expand this to larger sizes as well for farmers carries and atlas stone exercises.
