Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
Take an athlete like Alex Viada. Guy is a complete freak of nature and an incredible athlete. If he implemented CrossFit training into his routines it would only make him worse. Why? The type of...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
You don't just do your sport, I never said that, you train to address whatever weakness you have, not just random exercises strung together for whatever reason. Powerlifting, you need to increase...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
No.
Top level powerlifters, bodybuilders, sprinters, endurance athletes, etc (assumed natural for this) will not improve by adding CrossFit to their training. Athletes at this level need to train...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
How is that a problem? The best natural athletes in those disciplines would still wipe the floor with Crossfitters in that particular discipline. Changes nothing about the discussion.

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
I'm not sure how you can say Crossfit allows people to reach higher levels gains. I don't even know what that means. Better strength gains? Nope that still goes to powerlifters. Better size gains?...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
I definitely agree as well. Of course, I doesn't really matter how great and hard working someone is IF those at the top are taking steroids as well, they will never catch up. Not saying I think Rich...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
Sure, you can have a big upper body and twig legs if you don't work your legs. You won't develop that upper body in the same way as a steroid user would though and that is the big difference. A...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
I am certainly not accusing her or anyone else of taking steroids but really developed delts, traps, and lats absolutely are a tell-tale sign of steroid use due to the fact that those muscles have...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
This is why I look at it more in terms of I assume there are games athletes who are dirty but I don't speculate on individual athletes because I don't believe it is fair to accuse someone of being...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
First, it doesn't say he gained 10 lbs of lean muscle, we don't know the composition of his weight gain. He could be carrying a little extra fat, he could have been retaining a little more water the...

Re: Is Rich Froning the next Lance Armstrong?
Of course someone COULD get by, there is not a method of testing that would be 100% effective. However, attaching someone's name to such a broad accusation is not very ethical in my eyes. Just...
