Re: Lower Body Only Exercises

Thanks for the input. That's about the timeline my surgeon gave me. I have no reason to doubt him but it's good to get confirmation from someone who's been through it.

Re: Lower Body Only Exercises

Kevin,
Thanks for your input. It's good to hear from someone who had the surgery. I had noticed that deadlifts and light cleans didn't really affect me in terms of pain.

How long did it take for...

Thumbs up Re: Lower Body Only Exercises

Hello Everyone,
Great responses, thoughts, ideas and links. Thanks for the input. I'm gonna start programming some WOD's and we'll see what hurts. Right now I have minimal pain as long as my arm...

Re: Lower Body Only Exercises

Graeme,
I appreciate the concern but I ran it all by my doctor and he's fine with anything I can tolerate pain wise (which is what is keeping me from lifting with my arms). It's unlikely to cause...

Question Any Ideas For Lower Body Only Exercises?

Hello All,
I just found out today I have a torn labrum which will require surgery to repair. My surgery isn't for 5 weeks so I'm trying to program some WOD's that do not involve my shoulder as it is...

Re: How Does Anyone Afford CF?

A couple of things here:

I think the first few responses got this thread off in the wrong direction. That was predictable based on the tone of the original question, but not necessarily helpful. ...

Re: 5 day affiliate seminar - $5000!!!

I'm glad to see Matt clarify and others come to his support. There is way too much of a sense of "everything should be free" among many on these boards. The price of anything is of secondary...

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

Matt,
Is was great meeting you at the affiliate gathering in Vegas. It's good to see that you posted this here. Matt and I had a conversation at the airport about how surprising it is that more...

Re: CrossFit Coeur d'Alene in the works

:kicking0:
Derek,
That is awesome. My Mom lives in Cd'A and it's very difficult to CrossFit at any of the facilities in town.

We'll be in for a visit soon after you open. I get up there 2-3 times...

Re: Best Practices...

99% of the time you can get it off with fingernail polish remover as well.

Another tip for boards that you will be writing on and erasing frequently (such as for WOD's) is to apply a coat of car...

Re: Capitalising on New Year's Resolutions

Check out some of Doug Chapman's views on "Resolutionaries." He is very anti resolutionary and details some good reasons why he feels this way.

Still, I think it's worthwhile going after these...

Globo CrossFit

Jonathan,
I'd first like to start by saying that I did not say anything about what new affiliates "should" do. I said that we are reaching a point where the concept has been proven and a new...

Question Another Logo

If you guys aren't already tired by the logo feedback I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. This is an initial concept and will get a lot of polishing before being final.

I'm thinking we will use...

Re: Membership Software

From everything I've seen, most off the shelf programs don't translate well to CrossFit and you end up having to cobble together multiple systems to accomplish your end goals.

I'm working with a...

Re: Membership Ramp Up

Skip,
Your point is well taken. What I meant by the "path being paved" by the hard work of Coach, yourself and others is that it has been shown how it can be done. We all have to do the things you...

Re: Membership Ramp Up

There is a significant difference between opening a facility now and when Coach first did it. While there is nothing wrong with starting small and low risk, the concept has already been proven. The...

Re: Looking for Pull up bar schematics

Brian,
That "schematic" is cool. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why you were posting an Excel doc and then when I saw how you used it for digital grid paper it made perfect sense. This is...
