Re: Eddie Izzard's 1100 mile run in 51 days

Eddie Izzard did this?? Holy crap man, he was already one of my favorite comedians, but this just elevates my respect for him as a human being in general.

Anybody who makes fun of him for wearing...

Re: Camaro SS Vs. Mustang GT Vs. Challenger R/T

I have a 2004 mustang (non-GT) so when I speak it's purely from numbers and not experience, but I've been researching cars for fun over the past month and the Evo X GSR doesn't seem like a bad drag...

Re: A Must for all Ranger and Special ops

Marine Force Recon is not considered special ops. I don't think the USMC has any special ops units, unless they are classified.

Re: What are you reading?

Just got finished reading Suttree, Catcher in the Rye, and Tom Sawyer. Also Touching the Void.

Suttree was one of the more depressing books I've read. There's no single thing about it that makes...

Re: What are you reading?

Just finished Crime and Punishment...good book, very glad I read it. Dozens of nuggets of wisdom and observation in that book.

Now I'm going to *attempt* (:D) Moby Dick, and read Touching the Void...

Re: Im on a Boat

I love this song...I have shown it to everybody I know! It's probably been stuck in my head for the last two weeks.

Re: 60 vs. 90 min. aerobic for weight loss

"Need to training it"?...talk about bad grammar on my part.

Anyways, yeah I'm doing team in training right now, so that's what I was going off of, though I'm far from being one of the...

Re: 60 vs. 90 min. aerobic for weight loss

Or maybe it's because EVERYBODY trains with LSD, when only those who are competing at the level you mentioned need to training it. 20-30 miles a week is not required to finish a marathon, yet that...

Re: Military leaning away from CrossFit?

The Navy Seabee gym near my house has a crossfit challenge once a month. It doesn't involve everybody competing all at once, but you do a metcon (such as filthy fifty, once) and write down your...

Re: Learn something new thread...(Come Contribute!)

Really, I think it varies depending on the song. Some songs I'll have my index finger on the second note down, and sometimes I'll have it on the green. It depends on whether a song has more oranges...

1. Stumbleupon (http://www.stumbleupon.com/) [WFS] is a great app for Firefox. It's the internet's equivalent of channel surfing for TV.

2. The universe is young. If you take the current age of...

Re: Is that it, or do you do some additional work?

The warm-up includes 45 pull-ups, dips, sit-ups, and squats. That alone could be a work-out if done right.

Some people even throw in 5 minutes of cardio, and I've heard it said that that's...

Re: Food Before Bed?

Evolution isn't perfect, but it's the best theory we have that can be verified through scientific means, right? If there has been research done on a theory that has more evidence than evolution, I'd...
