Looking for a strength/endurance site created by a member here

Does anyone know the address of the site that talks about simultaneously developing strength and endurance? It was posted by a member here, I'm pretty sure they run it. One of the articles...

Re: Adductor assistance exercise to fix knees in squat

I had this problem big time until I started doing wide stance box squats. The first session I could only manage 135x10 but once I got up to 285x10 my knees never caved in again.

I used an above...

Re: 1 Rm

I like to start with just 135 pounds, then go up 50 pounds at a time until I get around 90%, then max. Last time I deadlifted though I just did:

485x1 (u mad Sean?)

Re: Waxy Maize

I took melatonin for two nights in a row, and on the second night I woke up after 6 hours and couldn't fall back asleep. That almost never happens when I'm not taking melatonin. Anyone know what the...

Fitting conditioning into the TM

I'm about to start the texas method and I'm ready to get serious with conditioning. Obviously my biggest concern is that the metcons I do will interfere with my squatting/deadlifting/benching. So I'm...

Re: How often do you deadlift?

I deadlift once a week, starting with singles from the floor between 65% and 85% of 1RM for between 6-15 reps, usually performed on the minute. Then I do rack pulls as taught by Rippetoe for a heavy...

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

I can finally say I'm a member of the 1000# CF total club. Been an aspiration since I first joined the board, but set backs along the way delayed it.

Squat 410
Deadlift 485
Press 140 ()...

Re: List your max 1RM deadlift and weight!

I'm 6'2, 235 and my best deadlift is 485. I probably need to lose weight.

Re: front squats are awesome

The problem with front squatting exclusively is that the limiting factor in the FS after a certain point is the upper back, not the legs, so you don't overload them as well. Also, its a quad dominant...

Re: Conjugate Method vs. Linear Progression

Matt, were you doing a new ME lift every week? If so that might be the problem.

Re: squat form check

Your knees are sliding forwards at the bottom a bit in some of the reps. Your also not capitalizing the first word of a new sentance.

Re: Squat form check

I use the stool to gauge depth and to not go too low. I stopped using it for awhile and everything went well, until I injured my lower back deadlifting. I tried training through it and...

Squat form check

How does it look? I know depth could be better. I just started training 2 weeks ago so I'm still getting comfortable with hitting parallel*.

Re: 5RM Vs 1RM

For me, formulas estimated 1RM are useless, especially as the reps go higher. I once squatted 285x10, and the next week squatted a 1RM of 315. I think it depends on the person, their CNS efficiency,...

Re: Starting Strength-reset questions

Are you familiar with the "running-start" reset? Its a method of increasing linear gains passed the point where sets across doesn't work anymore. What you do is start with a weight you can get 10...

Re: Stairs/Hills/Parachutes for speed

I think sprints with a weighted sled attached by a body harness would beat a parachute as you can vary the resistance used.

Re: Fat Bars, Axles, etc

Check out Fatgripz, its a portable rubber contraption that wraps around an olympic bar to increase the diameter. It makes the bar alot harder to hold on to, and its great for building or testing grip...
