CF training partner in NorCAL

I'm in northern California and have created a pretty well stocked garage gym. I'm looking for a regular training partner. Any and all are welcome. There is no cost for me opening my home. Please...

Any and all split toed shoes

Alright, ya'all, someone educate me!!!

Admittedly, I have not used split toed shoes in a WOD. I have minimalist shoes and like them. However, what am I missing? I can't be the only one that thinks...

Re: Humble Beginnings Of My Garage Gym

Brent - I agree with your assessment of the bike trainer in relation to the airdyne; it simply came down to money. I wish I had the opportunity to spend that grip of cash! My wife does want a concept...

Re: Humble Beginnings Of My Garage Gym

Andros - That's exactly why I built. I got tired of the gym routine; the drive to and from, the people, the atmosphere, the kids, etc. I'm so much happier being in my home doing what I want and...

Re: Humble Beginnings Of My Garage Gym

AH, I follow now. True, MDUSA has good prices, however, I could have made over 3 sets (6 total stacks) for the cost of one set of MDUSA. Right now, the $$$$ saving was more important.

Re: Humble Beginnings Of My Garage Gym

Brent - Thanks for the suggestion; very much appreciated! Right now, I've been following The Outlaw Way, and scaling the hell out of it!!! My former background is collegiate swimmer and after then...

Re: Humble Beginnings Of My Garage Gym

Mike - I did construct it with 2 layers of 3/4 inch plywood. I would consider going with only 1 layer of plywood and 1 layer of horse stall mats. I don't have a good reason for this other than I...

Re: Humble Beginnings Of My Garage Gym

Kris - I really want a GHD or Concept2, but that won't be for some time; got married last weekend and need to recharge the coffers! I'll probably settle for upgrading the items I made out of PVC. The...

Re: Humble Beginnings Of My Garage Gym

Michael - thanks, I thought about that and will add it to the next iteration of the tops; I'm not happy with how those came out. As an engineer, I will make them more sound after these get beat up.

Re: Box CF Programming at Home

Kainoa,

Yes, I have done the mainsite WODs. I have been doing the mainsite WODs for some time now. I am certainly not saying I am among the elite; far from it. But they aren't as challenging as...

Box CF Programming at Home

Hey everyone!! I'm not sure if this is the correct forum; my apologies if it isn't.

What I am in dire search of is a "remote CF program". The way my brain has rationalized this is something along...

That's a great idea. However I'm only bounded on two sides. I have two adjacent walls and two open areas. One opens to the garage door and the other opens to the 2 cars side. The gym will be going in...

I will be starting my home garage gym this coming week (of course I'll be posting photos along the way). Like most of you, I've gone back and forth over the best floor covering. I've decided to go...

Re: Do you think this will support my pull up bar?

DO NOT, again, DO NOT, simply attach that the bar with half the number of required lag screw to the wood header! These are to be used as a complete system with all supporting hardware. No wants to...
