Re: Which is the best Jump Rope for Crossfit and other fitness exercises

I bought a Buddy Lee rope few weeks ago. After a week using it my max double unders went from 22 to 37. I would at least highly recommend it.

Re: Made my own adjustable pullup bar

Re: Warm-ups & Pre Workout

I personally don't like the ''official crossfit warmup'' too much..

I usually do technical exercises for a warmup. Like, if I'm not good at muscle-ups, I do some light ring work or train the...

Re: Paleo questions and pre/post workout foods.

You say you want to get stronger and be able to recover more quickly. I definitely think that you can manage that on Paleo. But I'll tell you that from experience, I lost pretty much weight when I...

Re: eating meat unhealthy?

I ate the bread and the apple juice because I was already ill and didn't have appetite for eating anything else. Generally, I never eat bread or drink apple juice.

Re: eating meat unhealthy?

Thanks for that answer. I'm not really used to eating pasta because I'm trying to stay on the paleo diet so probably that illness was the damn pastas fault

Re: eating meat unhealthy?

I was going to make a new thread but when I saw this thread and this answer I decided just to hijack it.

On Monday I decided to have myself beef and a little pasta for breakfast. I had a little time...

Re: Bodybuilding + Cross Fit??

I agree with above comments. Eat a lot. When I went from my powerlifting program to CrossFit I lost 5 kg (11 pounds) of bodyweight in two months and I wasn't even trying to lose weight.

Re: Paleo and lifting gear?

Thanks for the response and yes, I've checked out Mark Sisson and really like what he posts on his site. I'll probably use the belt depending on the circumstances and take the middle ground.

Re: Paleo and lifting gear?

Yeah, I guess there are different points of view on this one. Every person probably needs to evaluate this for themselves. But I'm not completely sure what I'll do next when there comes up CFT,...

Paleo and lifting gear?

Maybe I'm just not good at using the search option but anyway I couldn't find anything about this.

Do you who are Paleo use any lifting gear when training? I once read a CF journal where belts were...

Re: am I teaching the Paleo/Zone diet right?

ok, it's just wrong to say this. The Zone allows more food types like milk products and even suggests bread sandwiches. And also, the carbohydrate quantity is usually much lower on Paleo than on the...

Paleo and milk - drop the milk?

hey there :)

I started doing paleo this summer but I never quiet got rid of the milk because it's so damn good and I was afraid my calories would drop significantly if I would loose the milk.

So I...

Re: Zone Vs. Primal

I think this PB is great.. This article interested me so I read more articles and I'm impressed with this.

I think I'll try to increase my fats in the next few days and do some IF in between and see...

Re: What's the CF situation in Reykjavik, Iceland?

hey there, we don't have any affiliates here in Iceland

I would recommend you to train in a gym called Sporthúsið, thats where Leifur is training and some other CrossFitters.

I don't recommend my...

Re: Soda vs. Beer/alcohol

I would chose alcohol as my 'cheat'.

What you get from soda is maby a little bit of good taste but nothing more.

I'm not recommending drinking alcohol but as a CrossFitter on a pretty boring and...

Re: back extensions - am I doing something wrong?

yeah, I also did ''feel'' them in the hamstrings as you mentioned.

but might this somehow be because my upper body is stronger than my lower body? (not that I think that's the problem, I've got no...

back extensions - am I doing something wrong?

hey there,

I was just wondering if the back extensions should work on your legs as well as the lower back?

I ask because yesterday when I was doing those back extensions I really had a problem...
