Re: New to taking it seriously
Welcome, and good luck! It really is about the mental attitude in the gym- I notice a significant difference in my own performance when I mentally check out.
And yeah, I mean, I love bacon, but...

Re: Seen in Public today
I dissagree- you probably see a lower % of people with higher education and low "common sense," but as you are expecting more of them it appears worse than it is. Doctors are people too, you know.

What's wrong with fruit?
I like beef brisket, slow cooked for about 8 hours on low, then covered in equal parts honey and stone ground mustard and broiled at 450 for 15 or 20 minutes. I assume...

If you haven't already, get in touch with the guys at Spartan Crossfit. I don't know what their equipment needs are, but who wouldn't want more gear?

Re: Need Help...
Go to a good sports specific trainer. They will prepare you better than any of the generic recommendations like SS will.

Re: Nutrition rant/advice
Also, food is fuel. We're not 6 any more, vegetables don't have to be "yucky." Eat them because you need them. Food is more than the RDA of nutrient content. If it wasn't we'd all just take a pill or...
