Re: Nike Metcon

I agree with you 100%. I can't stand how sloppy and clunky Nanos feel. I tried on the new Nano 5.0 today and they are better, but they still don't compare to the Metcon.

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

With that much weight going over head and that much money on the line, I could see even elite Crossfitters getting hurt doing a speed snatch ladder. Not to mention, what happens if barbells going...

Re: torn hands

I like both the leather grips and the Jaw grips. I just got the new Jaw grips that go over all 4 fingers and provide coverage over the entire Palm. I workout on the gulf coast in Texas and I sweat...

Re: Nike Metcon

I used to have this problem when I developed a neuroma in my left foot. I still have it with some shoes, but it has pretty much gone away. That lump under the foot always got worse the longer I...

Re: Nike Metcon

I actually went down half a size from the 11 that I normally where for running long distances. The nike's fit almost perfectly, but I wouldn't want to run over three miles in them.

Compared to...

Espn3

Anyone else frustrated that the games are more accessible to the rest of the world, while it only has limited distribution in the US? The rest of the world gets full access to the live stream, but...

Re: Shoes

Dick's Sporting Goods has them, but they are not easy to find. Zappos is very good online site that takes shoes back if they do not fit appropriately and they have free shipping back and forth and...

Re: Shoes

Try Inov8 shoes. They are much more form fitting, and I think much more functional than Nanos. I hate the sloppy feel of Nanos.

Re: Have we all seen this yet?

Did anyone happen to catch the finals on NBC (the main channel not NBC sports) in the middle of the day today? I actually found it fairly interesting to watch. I didn't care of the coverage of the...

Re: Jump Rope Opinions

You like the R2 over the R1.5? I get much better feel with the 1.5 and the R2 gets me tired much quicker. But, it was the R2 that helped me to learn double unders.

Re: Jump Rope Opinions

I just got the new JumpNRope R1.5 Hybrid speed rope. I absolutely love this rope. It is by far the best rope I have every used for double unders. It has great feel to it, but the rope really isn't...

Re: Reebok Nano 4.0's

It isn't so much the width that I don't like, it is that they feel sloppy with a terrible transition when running.

If you like feeling like you have nothing on your foot, I would suggest that...

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

After a few workouts now, I can definitely say that I like the Inov-8 240 much better than my Nanos. The Inov-8 is by far the best weight lifting/workout/running/agility shoe I have ever worn. I am...

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

Well, I got the 240. So far, I like them much better than any of my Nanos. If they hold up well and I continue to like them, I may try pair of 195s to compare.

Thanks for all the info on these...

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

What did you like about the 195 that you liked better? It looks like the cushioning in the forefoot is more substantial in the 195 than in the 240.

Inov-8 240 v. 195

I really like the 240 and I am thinking about pulling the trigger. However, I have nowhere to try on the 195 and was hoping that someone here could give me some feed back on the 195 as compared to...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Thanks for that link. Wow, I can't believe how much the games have changed in just a few short years. The first year I saw the games was 2012.

I was also very surprised by how much Camile has...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Is it any wonder that the last heat for both the men's and women's semi's made up the majority of the finals? It is a lot easier to push yourself to failure knowing that if you do not make a certain...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

There is a reason these older sports do it this way as well. Most racing sports do it this way (advancing the top two or 3 heat winners), and allow for they rest of the places to be filled in by the...

I am with you there. I am tired of being held hostage by ESPN's constant battles with providers.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

It is frustrating that bad judging may very well affect the make up on the podium on the women's side. The no reps on Julie Foucher were pretty pathetic. I am glad the crowd booed. I hope that...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

The camera work is pretty bad, but at least you get to see it. I am one of the many that do not get ESPN 3. I hate Directtv!

Re: Looking for a good Crossfit shoe

I recently tried the Under Armor training shoe elevate and it was a dang nice shoe. At 89 dollars it is a decent price. My only concern is that the shoe may be to soft. It does seem to have a nice...

Re: Reebok only apparel at Crossfit Games?

Same with Rodeo. Rodeo is pretty wide open. You can wear whatever boots or spurs that you wants. Same with the saddle for horse events, or the rope for roping events or bull riding events. Its...
