Kevin--just keep in mind the protein content when drinking the shake. The shakes sometimes have around 20g protein/serving which is nearly 3 blocks.
Are you planning on using it for a post-workout...

Kevin---with protein shakes after workout, I would look for those designed for ingestion after workout vs. those designed to just give you more protein. Most shakes that I have seen have some carbs...

Less tenderness today and was able to squat in warm-ups without pain. I just did upper body work and core tension exercise with some KB grinds that did not cause any pain.

My thought could be low blood sugar. Since you just switched to the zone and you are doing CF, make sure you are zoning correctly (i.e. Ben K statement)
