Re: Power clean check

Check out the screen cap attached. You are coming to your toes with your arms slightly bent and have not yet have not actually reached full extension in your hips. You need to get in the right...

Re: Pendlay Bar - Flaking Chrome

We have the same problem with all of our old Pendlay econ bars.

Depends on what you define as "Pendlay's guys". I think the name of the company that manufactured them was Power Place Products...

Re: Monster response: Crossfit in workouts.

We started in a park.

My advice: Be careful with free. I know others have had different experiences but we did something similar and we saw next to no conversion to paying clients. When we...

Re: Intek Bumpers

Those look like rebranded Rebar bumpers like the ones Iron Woody sells: http://www.ironwoodyfitness.com/bumper-plates.php. I had a pair way back. They were probably the worst bumpers I've ever used.

Try emailing Lynne Pitts - she should be able to update your access.

Re: ROGUE Tactical Sandbag Review

I'm a little confused by this. Someone invented a plate loaded barbell at some point and later on someone invented an olympic barbell with rotating sleeves. These basic innovations are made by...

Re: My Encounter With Dynamax. A MUST READ!

Really? I'm struggling to find them.
1. You're supposed to get strong with just 20lbs?
2. CF does use med balls in "large amplitude movements that recruit multiple muscle groups".
3. Nobody is...

Re: Vegetarian & CF

In that case, I suppose we can do away with all that pesky medical research and even those pesky doctors (who needs someone to diagnose you when you can just observe!) and save billions. The health...

Re: My Encounter With Dynamax. A MUST READ!

Don't worry about it Stephen - no need to be defensive. The email you posted is obviously in line with the feedback many people in CF have been getting from Dynamax for some time (just with a bit...

Re: My Encounter With Dynamax. A MUST READ!

Ummm...I'm confused about where he's coming from. Don't they manufacture a 14lb, a 16lb, an 18lb, and a 20lb ball. Those are all more than 12lbs. He makes them and then gets indignant when people...

Re: Huge Decline in Quality

Here we go again - the topic that refuses die when it really should: many people are so concerned about what other people are doing and less concerned with making what they do better. This has been...

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

I have had this problem before with images. Your image file size is probably too large and as a result, it cannot create a thumbnail (all it has to work with then is the full-sized pic). I've found...

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

All IE's are poor excuses for software. They give web professionals lots of headaches.

Re: Question on Pendlay Bar

Pendlay makes the Rogue bar which, in my understanding, is the same as the HD but with both sets of marks:

Re: When someone emails looking for prices?

I really like the idea of your approach, John. Thanks for sharing it. My problem with some of the other approaches mentioned here is that many seem to assume that CrossFit is for everyone - it's...

Re: When someone emails looking for prices?

That's pretty good, Skip. Out of curiosity, what percentage of people that walk through the door sign up? I assume they come through the door and have a trial workout?

Re: When someone emails looking for prices?

I do understand the rational for not posting pricing info and selling them on it when they come in - however, I'm curious if this effects retention rate. I used to be part of a martial arts school...

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

I was referring to the second-level headings that comprise your post titles - they're between h2 tags: <h2></h2>. I was talking about selecting them on your style sheet and using "clear" to make...

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

I assume you're talking about the post title on Dec. 26th? The caption that it's up against is floating. Try adding "clear: both;" to your h2s in your css and see if that helps.

Re: Garage Gym Store

I had a similar problem with the women's bars - finally found out that Pendlay had a bad batch that caused a hold up.

Yeah - so far, my experience with a couple of these places has been that...

Yes, I don't belive the timing was a coincidence at all which is the only reason I responded to it. I went to look at the thread and right above it I see what appears to be someone giving us the...

I though my implication was clear. What I was implying was that what was rediculous would be the idea that would follow from that article I posted using the same logic used by you and the catholic...

Re: STD's and homosexuality

I don't see how, but since see logic has no place here, let's have some fun. The amazing thing about statistics is that they can be made to say anything. For example, perhaps it's religion that...

Does anyone else find it interesting that in the "article" it's the hetrosexual sex that lesbians have that gets them in trouble?
