Hey, do you guys think there's going to be some Muscle-Ups into a HSPU on that crazy rig in the tennis court? Monkey bars seem dangerous at that height... Even though they look adjustable..

It seems like The Outlaw Way involves a lot of work (volume). What would be a good progression to ease into it instead of just jumping in from say 3 days a week strength+metcon training?...

How to react to Overtraining?

Hey people,

So here's a bit of my background: I started CrossFit a year ago, went on by doing the good old metcon 4x a week with maybe 2 of these preceded by some strength work until April 2013....

Smolov Jr Week 2 Day 4, 10x3 @260 lbs

Felt good, even though I was sore today.

Then, somehow (I really don't know how), I went on to snatch 175 (5 lbs PR) and C&J 210 (5 lbs PR)...

Go figure...

I start with some foam rolling. Start at the calves and work up each leg (about 20 rolls per muscle group) until I feel loosened up a little. Then I'll usually roll my triceps on the bar on the rack...

Finished the 7x5 today. I had to watch the kids at the same time (I don't know who set up that rope for them to climb... Irresponsible parent I say!!) so I didn't have too much time to feel miserable...

Just finished the 10x3 from week 1... It was hard, especially mentally.. 10 is a lot of sets... but the weight went up every time... I fear week 2 and 3 though... I feel pretty beat up...

Why don't you focus on strength instead of adding more metcons? They won't get you stronger... And if you want to be competitive, you need to add at least 50 lbs to your squats (front and OH) and 100...
