Re: TRT experience
I don't entirely agree with that statement.
It's not just Test. It's the entire hormonal profile. Youth is youth. We'll never get that back no matter how much test we take. The metabolism...

Re: TRT experience
Tis the reason I get shots every 7 days - that's when the test starts to lower and your body starts producing estrogen in way to combat the increased test levels.
An anti-estrogen would be good,...

Re: Technique Questions
Others have covered this, but a specific physio who is knowledgable, like Kelly Starrett, would be best. Any run of the mill therapist will likely be a waste of money as few truly understand how the...

Re: TRT experience
When I first started, my endo coded it wrong. I ended up paying $150 for 10cc bottle at WalMart out of my own pocket. But that 10cc bottle lasted 20 weeks. So even if the script was not covered by...

Bob,
I have rather large legs so lots of beef there for me. :) It was in the vastus lateralus (sp) (outside of the leg) and there's very few veins and nerves there, so it was never a problem for...

The injections don't hurt at all. When I was stupid, I used a compound call T400 that was imported from Mexico. It was high in Benzyl alcohol. It had twice the potency of normal human grade...

Re: TRT experience
That's one way to look at it.
The body would have been more for "GO" than for "show." Any aesthetic (sp) or "awesomeness" that may have resulted from the training was/is purely a side effect.

Re: TRT experience
I do not second guess myself. I know what I feel like both while I'm on TRT and when I'm off. From a mental standpoint, I'm much calmer and confdient while on TRT.
I do not regret the choice...

I would add to this that we have become, for lack of a better term, *ussys for the most part. Seriously. We don't do physical labor. We don't have to hunt for our food. We don't have to move that...

In hindsight, given what I know about training and nutrition NOW, I would have trained and eaten a lot differently when I was, for lack of a better term, stupid.
I'm serious. In hindsight, I ate...

The downside to the gel is that it rubs off on other people who may be in your presence. That happened to me with my wife and I was afraid that it would impact my young daughters.
Agreed on...

Re: TRT experience
I only had them tested during the time that I went to the endo during 2006 - never tested prior to that. Now i am tested at least twice a year.
One test, I recall, had me at 150ng/dl. The...

Re: TRT experience
Bob,
I don't know if my story can help, but my knowledge may be able to. I am on TRT - I take 100mg of Test Enanthanate a week. My levels always come back around 400 to 450 ng/dl unless I have...

All the above are right, but still very impressive. Well done.
To be frank, the only way I can comfortably press (and not push or dip or bend my knees) from the rack position is with a really...

Good lift. And, as someone else mentioned, awesome shirt.
I think the issue with the bar looping forward is with your first pull - barbell on ground until such time as the knees begin to scoop...

Re: Crazy snatch fail.....245#
Gutsy effort. Best to just let those go forward or back to avoid potential injury. Plenty of strength there. Just a matter of time. Keep up the good work.
Looked as though you didn't get your...

Actually, good for you. If the goal is continual progress, it is best to err to experience.
Good luck and go heavy.
All the best,

The reps with 245 were much better. Agreed with the others on knees out. I also find that to think of driving with the outstep of your foot and heel helps this visualization even a bit further. ...

May need to watch the young fella's vid again. It wasn't pretty - but it wasn't overly cat in litter box like. No one's lifts at near max effort are. Save perhaps Andy Bolton. But he only pulls...

2) the hip flexors - sore

I think this becomes essential as you get into your late 30s and early 40s. Then absolutely necessary as you advance beyond that.
I listen to my body on that front. If a joint is achy after a...
