Looking for shoe input and suggestions

I realize how subjective this all is, so I'm just looking for your thoughts.

In our recent move one of my shoes disappeared. I've been training in my chucks, but I'm ready to get a better workout...

Re: Nike Metcon

I don't know what's near you guys, but I picked up a pair tonight from Dick's Sporting Goods. They didn't have a lot in stock, but I would check any near you.

Re: Kids Bar - Choices?

My son is 10 and I bought him this one:http://www.roguefitness.com/5kg-aluminum-tech-bar (WFS)

It's only 11lbs. Even though they may deadlift at a weight where the 22lbs Rogue trainer bar may make...

Re: Critique of snatch

I normally don't start my snatch that way. I normally am still at the bottom before the pull. I noticed other people who do a little twerking motion and when they go down the last time they start...

Re: Discounts By Having Crossfit Level 1 Cert?

Inov-8 offers a discount on shoes if you have your level 1 cert. You register for it, then go to a special website to buy them. They are around 50% off plus shipping and they say it takes around...

Re: ********?

A gym owner where I used to train said she started carrying some because some members did ask for it, but mainly so when people showed up trying to get them to carry it they could say, "Oh we already...

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

I like my 195s better than the Nanos as well. The only downside I see to them is I don't think they will hold up as well.

Re: Financing equipment, rowers

Rogue and Again Faster have financing options. I'm sure some of the other major equipment carriers do as well.

Re: In search of : Outdoor rope climbing station

I thought of that, but worry that any piece that breaks down into several other may not be very sturdy.

Re: In search of : Outdoor rope climbing station

Possibly something along the lines of this with metal, though not this in particular as it's likely not strong enough.

Re: In search of : Outdoor rope climbing station

That's a tall order, I'm not sure you can find something that meets that criteria. One of the biggest hurdles that I see is if you want it to be 15' tall you need at least a 15' post of some kind. ...

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

I went down to a running shop that carries both types. It's just lucky that most of the people who work there also do CrossFit or at least know a lot about it. It has become a very popular place...

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

I don't know it's something I could explain. I put both on and ran in them. They also recorded my feet when I ran to see how my form was. In the 195 I felt more comfortable and my form was better.

Re: Inov-8 240 v. 195

Honestly I would recommend trying them on. Based on what I knew about them I would have picked the 240's, but once I actually tried them on the 195's felt way better on my feet.

Re: Equipment List for Garage Gym

You need more wallballs, at least two of each. Probably three of the 20 and 14.

Re: Rev X Jump Rope Testing for Again Faster

Ultra Speed Cable rope! That's about what I used for a little over two years. Awesome rope. Though I like the Rev X rope better.

Re: Rev X Jump Rope Testing for Again Faster

I didn't throw my name in to get one, but since I use a Rev X as my primary rope I'll throw my review in anyway. I'm not sure when it happened, but at some point Rogue switched the type of cable...
