For sale: Rogue RH-2 reverse hyper with roller attachment (SF Bay Area)

We are moving, and our new garage gym will not have all the space we have now. So unfortunately some of our gear has to go. :(

We have a RH-2 Rogue Reverse Hyper in near new condition. The Rogue URL...

Re: Building a sled?

Mine was a tire variation. Tire was free, PVC for handles was lying around, so was the chains and board. All I had to buy was the plumbing pipe on the top to put the weights on. So I think $10...

Re: Experiences building a lifting platform

Second question first-- screwing down horsemats works fine. I did this for the same reason (ability to break it down some to move later). Tighten the screws just enough to keep from noticing they...

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

Hey Jae!

Sure, I'll send it when I get home. It has a few other things in it too, such as a page for a Korte 3x3 template to plug numbers into, and other such goodies you can use or delete as you...

Re: Quick Squat Check - 210

The main issue I saw is the bar is coming forward in front of your center of gravity on the drive up rather than staying in-line. It seemed to me this became more pronounced on each rep. One method...

Re: 100 bodyweight backsquats a benchmark?

Yeah Jim, I would be disappointed if I were you, too. But hey, that was just awesome to see, and you have the satisfaction of knowing you did something first that only later turned up on the...

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

Fair enough, and I certainly see that point of view. After all, the powerlifting crowd still awards a highest absolute total as well.

As for myself, I total 1135, but at 260lbs, I can't help but be...

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

I'm still struggling to understand why there is nothing in the CFT (and other areas) to better translate the achievement of a particular lift to other weight classes and between genders.

Not...

Re: Iron woody 41" fitness bands question

I assume you want to stretch the bands across the safety pins so someone can step on that for a pullup assist? Our cage is 49.5" from outer edge to outer edge. We've the same 41" iron woody bands. ...

Re: Structuring a farmer's walk circut?

Farmer's walks seem an odd choice to me. Something like a sled drag or prowler push or hill sprints seem better suited to your purpose.

I tend to agree with Lincoln that 2 minutes is on the high...

Re: Can I park on my horse stall mats?

Yeah, that. If you park a motorcycle on the horse mats, the kickstand may start to dig in a bit over time, depending on how the kickstand is shaped, lean angle, bike weight, etc. Lots of easy ways...

Re: 1000lbs club CrossFit Total

Hey Christopher, I'm not trying to pick on you, but in my experience, dividing a total by body weight is a rather arbitrary method that doesn't seem to bear out what top level lifters have shown as...

Re: Is wearing a weight belt bad?

You get the weight off him. I don't really see what this has to do with the topic about the merits of a belt. In an emergency situation, I am also not going to warm up with my crossfit warmup,...

Re: Is wearing a weight belt bad?

If you're going to attempt to lift the car (quite possibly failing and making the situation much worse), you really hope your training program has made you as strong as you can be for this attempt. ...

Re: Yet another deadlift video, 350x5

In addition to going down and up again, if the bar appears to rest or get a slight bit of support from your legs on the way up (even if the bar doesn't go down but just briefly, slightly "rests"),...

Re: Yet another deadlift video, 350x5

Solid effort, but in addition to the feedback already given, reps 4 and 5 may have been redlighted for hitching in a contest context.

Re: Back squat and deadlift form check

I thought everything was much improved, especially in the first video. The bar is staying over your center of gravity more reliably, and your knees are not sliding in as you reverse to drive up...

Re: Back squat and deadlift form check

If you're aiming for a low bar back squat, then I think what I wrote above still stands for this video. The bar is coming too far forward. You need to sit back and down into the squat. The knees...

Re: Back squat and deadlift form check

Hmm, yeah, if he's intending to do a high bar, you're right. He said SS, though, so my mind was thinking low bar back squat while watching. Good point...

Re: Back squat and deadlift form check

On the squats, the bar is too far forward over your feet. Try and sit back into the squat more, and put more of the stress on your glutes and hamstrings. You can see your knees really bounce...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Sounds like what St. Augustine termed "parallel monologues" about 1600 years ago to explain how meaning was conveyed.

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Yeah, it's not often you can be 6'4" and 275lbs, and yet feel petite while squatting.
