Re: What do you think of my program and diet?

I'm a big fan of doing one of the big lifts each day (squat, bench, etc.) and finishing up with a WOD. It's always felt like the right amount of volume (check out Crossfit Football if you haven't...

Shoulder pain during explosive lifts, but not strength lifts

Does anyone have any issues with shoulder pain during explosive lifts but not with the typical strength lifts? I never have issues with the strict overhead press, but push presses or clean & jerks...

Re: Saturated Fats

Blocking Robb Wolf's site is absolutely absurd. Whether you like him or not, he is an authority in his field and since I've started following his advice and doing Crossfit Football, I've seen...

Pictures of Crossfit affiliates

I've tried numerous different searches but cannot seem to find any threads like this. I'm sure someone will let me know if there's one out there.

I'm curious what some of the Crossfit affiliates...

Re: Brain Toniq

A link helps : Brain Toniq - WFS (http://www.braintoniq.com/)

Just looking at the product, I'm skeptical. I don't think that you need a drink to help you focus...

Re: CFSB - Ask your questions here!

If things are getting to be too much, maybe back off and add in the strength days as needed. What I'm doing is following the main-page WODs, but 1 full cycle behind. With this foresight of what's...

Re: CFSB - Ask your questions here!

You definitely have to watch your form, especially when you're tired. I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. I don't think you can do too much damage with a 3x3 and <15 minute metcon in one...

Re: CFSB - Ask your questions here!

Thanks, my man!

And Wade, personally, I wouldn't worry too much about working a certain movement in the same day just so long as it balances out in the long run. Crossfit recommends that you look at...

Re: CFSB - Ask your questions here!

What sort of rests do you guys use for the 10-7-4, 12-9-6, and 15-12-9 protocols? Am I right in assuming that we pick a weight and use it for all three sets? Also, on the spreadsheet it shows...

Trying to determine a task priority sub for running by using box jumps or DB swings

I know that when subbing jump roping or the like for running that you should just do the sub for the amount of time it would normally take to do the Rx'ed exercise. I would do this, but I feel like...

Re: Overhead squats and elbow problems

I have a similar issue but mine go more towards 170-175* when fully extended. If it is your personal lockout, then just run with it. I use to not be able to do overhead squats simply because of poor...

Re: Reflective musings on first trip to America.

Interesting you say so. I remember a conversation with a fraternity brother from France who said that friends really don't mix in each other's social circles in Europe, whereas us Americans try to...

I was at a 4th of July party last night, and we were standing in the backyard with the bottom of their deck just within jumping arm's reach and I asked myself, "I wonder if I could jump up, grab a...

Re: Saturday 080705 (time spacing)

Could you maybe space it into 2 workouts? I could see the morning consisting of the deads/burpees followed by the run and then Fran in the evening. I don't think putting the run right after one of...

Re: Blocks?

I wouldn't worry about it. In my opinion, people obsess about making sure they don't take in too many blocks when its still pretty calorie restrictive even with an extra block or two. Ideally, a...

Re: Wed July 2 WOD

Bryan, I agree. This workout comes up tomorrow for me and I will tape up my whole ***king hand if that's what it takes to give this a try.

Re: Wed July 2 WOD

I empathize! I work 4 days behind the posted WOD's (so I can schedule sports and such that wont lead to overdoing it) and torn a nice callous mid pinky when doing squat cleans yesterday. I did the BW...

Re: MetCon Nightmare

Eh, that isn't that bad. I thought you were going to say you were pounding back some hostess cakes and sugar cookies. Though it would probably help to lose a few pounds. I can't picture exactly what...

Something else to look at my also be your diet (since you said it was crappy). What do you usually eat in a day?

Re: Do anyone get flack at the office for eating throughout the day?

I'm not a teacher, but I use to find myself in the teacher's lounge grabbing a few snacks  that place was LOADED with junk food!

Re: I have found my cheat meal

Wow, that looks incredible. Though I do prefer Samoas over Thin Mints.

Re: carb substitute for bread

No busting taken, and you're right. I just think its a difference of what is acceptable in a diet and I'm just one to allow a good sandwich every once in awhile.

Re: Why all the empahsis on the Zone diet?

The Zone puts a lot of good foods in your body (assuming you follow its recommendations) and makes people take into account how much they are eating. It is an extremely balanced diet, meaning my...
