Conditioning is not endurance.
Endurance by definition requires time.

sometimes when ill our ancestors died, other times they were killed or banished. Some of them eat and healed up, some of them ate and died. Some of them prayed, some of them sacrificed someone else...

Depends on your age, diet, training history, etc.
If you can make gains on 6/1 or 10/1 or whatever, do what you will. Don't come crying when it all comes crashing down though, rest should be taken...
