Re: ABMAT vs AB-2

Thank you SO MUCH for your feedback on this everyone!

The "Standard" ABMAT is $30, and the AB-2 costs 10% more at $33, but it sounds like the AB-2 is the way to go.

ABMAT vs AB-2

Rogue has an AB-2 which they claim is "35% more firm" than the standard ABMAT. Is this a significant improvement that will actually make a big difference, or is the standard ABMAT just as effective...

Re: Thanks to the CFJ for these plyo boxes

What if you added a bottom to the box and made a hinged top or a removeable top so you could use the dead space inside the box for storage? Don't know how practical it would be, it's just an idea I...

Re: Shoulder surgery recovery (SLAP, RC, anterior capsule)

Awesome thread.

I have had pain in my R Shoulder for about three years now and kinda slowed down and I eventually stopped working out early last year. Injury is NOT CrossFit related. Unfortunately...

Re: Bataan Advice

I have not done this race, but have trained for it several times with guys in my Company (Indiana Army National Guard) that went together as a team and won it several years in a row. They all said...

Re: homemade Dip bars?

I dunno, if they were longer, I feel like I could do more on them than just dips without worry of hitting the posts. BTW, to get the distance between the bars I wanted and maintain them perfectly...

Re: homemade Dip bars?

Here are my parallel/dip bars and my pullup bar. On hindsight, I wish I had used longer sections of galvanized pipe and 6x6s instead of...

Re: home gym flooring

I wouldn't like to have a soft cushy floor under me when I am working out. I prefer a firm floor. Firm rubber mats are good, but I don't like working on the soft padding. I've worked out on soft...

Re: outdoor pullup bar

:yeahthat:
I dug a couple of holes about 3-1/2 feet deep and filled about 6" of the bottoms with gravel for drainage. I picked up a couple of pressure treated 12' 4x4s and drilled a hole in each one...

Re: Backyard pull up bar

I'm no construction guru, more of a amateur/wannabe DYI'er, but here is my backyard pull-up bar. I used two pressure-treated 12' long 4x4s and buried them ~3' deep (to get below the frost line) in...

Re: What do you call your business?

I don't have a business (yet), but when I do finally get it started, I would like it to stand out and be recognized as something completely different than the globo gyms.

I was thinking about...

On becoming an effective and competent fitness asset

I am considering becoming an affiliate out of my 1.5 car garage (possibly within the next year if I get the guts). I have had chemistry, anatomy, and physiology classes as part of a pre-med program...

What are you planning on using the chain for? How big is it and how long is it? How bad is the rust? Could you make a sleeve out of canvas or some other heavy-duty fabric and slip it over the...
