If you mean your heart rate was at 185 for 10 minutes during your workout, I would not be concerned. That is a long time at that level of intensity, but that's what the workout was meant to do.

Atheletes do in general have lower heart rates than sedentary people. Lance Armstrong famously has a resting heart rate of 32-34. There is a good explanation here...
