I think 10mm is the max legal width for most lifting federations, which is why it's a common width, but 7mm will still give you plenty of support especially if you're used to no support at all.

Did some dynamic effort bench press: 2 reps every 60s with 62.5kgs, focussing on maximum acceleration out of the bottom. Felt good.

Then got goaded into having another bash at the gym...

Aye, it'smuch better now. Did a canny few multiple reps at 110 last night and form is pretty good for the most part. Gonna try some heavy singles and see how well that pans out. Think it's inevitable...
