Re: Reshaping the CrossFit Games from 2019 *****

Having so many different sanctioned events this year makes the competition feel much more fragmented. My interest in following the events and athletes has tanked. :(

Re: 2018 CrossFit Open, Regionals and Games Thread

While the first two workouts of the Open seem like good ol' CrossFit, that is, not straying too far outside the box, there are some new aspects to these workouts.

I am impressed by the first two...

Should we go through all the speculation on drug use again? If someone's build looks a certain way, they must be using PEDs? There are ways to use and not get caught? No one can perform and...

Re: diy wooden squat rack with pull up bar

Hmm. I just read Gilles description a little closer. For adjustable height J-cup, the idea of setting the J-cup into the post wouldn't work.

How about one of these at least?

Re: diy wooden squat rack with pull up bar

This thread is old enough that I don't know if Gilles will see it, but here is a better way to set a wooden "J-cup."

Re: Starting tiny; does it still work?

I want to echo your experience.

My wife opened a CrossFit gym in 2010 in a small town. The next nearest box was an hour away.

We financed $18,000 for equipment and found a really cheap...

Re: Medium size home gym how much space?

I've got a home gym in the back of my tandem garage. It's 11.5 x 11.5 with an 11.5 ceiling. Rather than working out in the box, we work out in the cube. :D

Here is a photo of the area:...

Yep. He was not expecting to count more reps. The other video angle shows him giving a little wave with his left hand / clipboard toward the finish line.

Re: 2017 Games thread

I rewatched Kara's 2223 event. Here is my analysis:

Does Kara actually do 75 OHS?

She does 60 reps on camera. The head judge may have an uninterrupted view of Kara's OHS count. Our feed is...

You've seen the rig for the obstacle course, yes?

It's tan. I'm guessing this is a choice to reduce surface heat compared to a black rig, when outdoor in the sun. Also, it looks pretty awesome...
