Re: Anyone competed 40/45/50+?
Trust me, though it doesn't seem so, 40+ is lightyears away from 50+. It's all about recovery time. Masters needs to stay at 50+. Maybe a Silvers/Seniors at 65+ in the future.

Re: Fish Oil Calculator
Great. Robb's/Melissa's stuff really helpful. I'll need to bookmark that page because as I chase the "sales" online, I end up with different brands or dosages.

Re: Hex Bar Deadlift
Hex bar trap bar deadlifts end up being part deadlift and part squat. As long as you know that.

Re: Taking a week off ...
If you think your body may need one week off.... take TWO weeks off. You will lose nothing from the rest and will prevent who knows what.
Week one: Nothing. Stretch, roll, massage, jacuzzi,...

Re: Working while standing.
I'm an elem teacher and therefore mostly on my feet, and mostly moving around the room. I find that when I sit most of the day (conferencing with kids or meetings), my hips don't feel good if I try...

Re: Load of grass-fed beef
No, I think you actually need to cook it less. Double-check on that. Plus add butter, olive oil, and/or coconut oil slathered on to add moisture.

Re: Inverted Rows
Hmmm.
I like inverted rows too. Not sure about them being non-functional. I completely disagree with that.
And regarding intensity... at horizontal (feet on box, etc) and/or with plates on...

Re: Swimming Metcon
Periodically, I'll warm up and then swim sprint intervals.
25m swim
20sec rest
repeat

Re: Considering the Sectionals, But Not Sure
Drop the ego and go compete.
Every successive year, as CF has grown larger, it will become more difficult/competitive to be able to participate.
Case in point:
2008: Anyone could compete...
