It really isn't. Its merely a program thats enjoyed by a number of people, it gives you nothing that lifting heavy stuff and sprinting hard could.

although i am loathe to defend straps your point above is incorrect, once you let go of the bar the strap will unravel and allow you to safely dump the bar. check out some strongmen on youtube...
