Re: Klokov does King Kong

I think most have seen that, although it may not count by competition standards, those 275 cleans looked like 45 pounds.

Klokov does King Kong

Not the fastest time I have seen, but close to it. The two bar lifts looked like empty bars, pretty cool to see. Skip to 1:10 to see workout!

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Castro certainly likes his overhead squatting movements. Did hang squat snatch at regionals for one heavy single, heavey overhead squats for 8 for the last event with pullups, a 1rm overhead squat...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Damn, even more glad I'm Canadian and can watch it all on the games website. Congrats to Camille on first, Thorsdottir for second and Foucher for third.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Seriously, who cares, this was there 13th workout of the games, and final one. Good form probably isn't there main priority on that workout.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Its a shame Kara Webb got injured, I think we would have done well on these last two events.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

They do a win tiebreak. So if Froning and Fraser were tied right now, Froning would win the tiebreak because he has won 3 events, while Fraser has only won 1.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

It was honestly something I could watch a few times, it was so freaking fast. I can't even blame the camera men this time for missing some of the competitors in that heat.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Disagree, the athletes should have gone as fast as possible regardless, if they were in first and knew there was a heat after them (Froning), then its there own fault for not pushing it more.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Seems like some of the athletes are bringing all 4 sleds right to the bags, while others are stacking them up, meaning less distance to pull. Doesn't seem consistent.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

That's one of the reasons I took Fraser, while the others I listed can potentially match his olympic lifiting ability, Fraser is so short and doesn't have to move as much overall.

Akinwale would...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

It's hard to predict a winner for the men. Froning, Hackenbruck, Parker, Khalipa, Maddox, Evans, Smith....all stand out to potentially win. I'm going with Mathew Fraser!

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

I think they are just gonna show the whole thing at 9 for the women, then the men shortly after. Think about it before you freak out. This is 3 separate 'events', yet they are 2 minutes, 3 minutes,...

I'll take that bet with Spealler or Bridges potentially beating him.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

If Thorsdottir didn't celebrate early I think she would have beaten Voboril.

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread

Cept some of the time it's not just for play. People use it as the number one reason a certain competitor is getting screwed over because they aren't going to the games for the simple reason of the...

Re: 2014 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
