Re: weighted one hand pushups to build muscle?

I agree that you would probably be better of just doing regular benching to build strength. Regarding the video, the elevated angle and wild technique(bent hips and knees) makes it much less...

Re: strength gains and overeating

That makes A LOT more sense. I was wondering what on earth that first post was about. Reread it like 10 times and still had zero clue.

Re: Greatest Athlete of all time.

"Is your stitch gone?" - coach

"Nope, but I got this." - brother

What a champion this little guy is. Awesome story that gives me hope for a generation in peril.

Re: Squatting while Defecating?

Depending on how high your toilet is, just put some cinder blocks where your feet would go. That or just screw some 10-12" lengths of 2x4s or 2x6's to the height you want. DYI for real cheap to...

Re: Best Cardio

You're going to get a lot of different answers here since it's all based on opinion. But in my opinion, I'd say swimming. Full body exercise with only small windows available for a new breath.

Re: Most efficient way to do a "Reverse Grip Clean"

I would think trying to keep the weight close to your body would make it easier to move more weight as well. Instead of of keeping your elbows stationary in front of your body let them slide back...

Re: bestbelts?

I believe some one followed up on it and talked to the owner(Dean?). Sounds like it's only temporary and should be back up soon.

I'm hoping this is the case since all the reviews I've read on...

Re: Reebok Reelflex on Sale for $39.98 + $8 S&H (Or no S&H if you pickup)

Not sure if it's just my computer or something but my Avast anti-virus flagged the link with a possible trojan. Their site may have been hacked or something, just a heads up.

Re: Bench Press imbalance

Are you sure you're pressing straight up? If you're pressing to the right, you could be rotating your shoulders therefore dropping your right arm lower/raising your left arm up. I'd look at that...

Re: Folding mat

Just find a cheap throw rug off craigslist or local discount department store in the size you want. Should be plenty just to keep your bones off the hardwood. You don't want something too soft...

Re: pendlay row @ 155lbs form check

I think your supposed to keep your head neutral as well. You seem to be whipping it up and back on each rep.

Re: CF Games on ESPN 2

I'm a bit curious as to some of the reasoning behind using hands on squats being any different than kipping pullups. If the goal is to complete the exercise meeting the parameters as quickly as...

30% off vivobarefoot

Just got an email for 30% off vivobarefoot shoes for memorial day weekend.

I got a pair of all black Aquas awhile back when someone posted a savings code on here and really...

Yeah was gonna recommend straps as well, check this vid out.

Re: "Barefoot" work/casual shoes - SALE

Yeah I grabbed a pair too. Black Aquas. Heard they have better breath-ability than some of the other models and I plan on not wearing socks. Ordered mine on July 5 and the code still worked.

Re: Abs on top of WOD?

What are peoples thoughts on ab rollout variations? I read that tnation article about what stimulated the core best and ab rollouts seemed to rank pretty high.

I was planning on building these...

Re: any one try the trigger point products?

I'm pretty interested in this stuff as I'm currently having some hip/knee issues that seem to be coming from tight/knotted up hips and legs. I foam roll as often as I can but I've been looking at...

Re: Weekly linear progression strength program?

If you can squeeze in 2 strength days a week, I'd think just doing Workout A and B once a week would keep things moving.

Re: The beginnings of my XFIT gym

Yeah that box is a bit dangerous looking. You could cross brace the legs which would help or do like stated above and fill in the spaces with plywood to frame it out.

Re: patella tracking laterally (kinesio tape?)

Thanks for the reply Steven. I know the taping doesn't replace the rehab but I knew it was a useful tool in relearning movement and muscle activation. Been doing small step-ups and TKEs, etc, along...

Re: patella tracking laterally (kinesio tape?)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I too have a small bursa on the leg that the patella was broken (lots of trauma when then knee hit the bottom of a lake while jumping in from like 35ft).

Sounds like...

patella tracking laterally (kinesio tape?)

So after dealing with some mechanical snapping and popping for a while I finally went to the PT and found out my patella is tracking laterally pretty bad on both sides.

Got all the info about foam...

Re: Tractor Tire double as a Sandbox?

Depending on whether or not the tire is tall enough on its side, you could just throw a table top on it with a few chairs around it. Just move the table top while flipping and you got yourself a...
