Re: Clydesdale United

I'm 6-5, 235# and did 15.1 this morning.

Predictably, T2B were the slow point. I broke them up into 5's from the start but still struggled with grip/forearms in later rounds. That's what I get for...

Re: vtx vs hi-temp bumpers

If you plan on dropping them the hi-temps are going to get squirrelly on you. They have a lot of bounce and I've seen people get fingers jammed on the bounce back. I know they are more durable than...

Re: Help - Fixing ramp in car garage

I went through the same thing this fall. A typical garage floor slopes 1/4"-1/8" per foot, which is definitely significant.

I found a number of resources on the board here (search for garage...

Re: Nano 2.0 question...

In my limited experience, once the sole starts separating, it keeps separating.

I'd return them while you can. New shoes should at least look perfect out of the box.

Re: Rogue Fitness Warrior Crossfit Package

Have you tried asking Rogue if they can price you a custom package with just the equipment that you want? They are pretty good about working with people that way and might save you some headaches...

Re: Ok to take a Jump Rope in Carry-On Luggage?

I travel every week for work and always have my Rogue rope with me. Only three times in over a hundred trips through security has TSA questioned it. I asked the last time it happened and the agent...

Re: Outlaw Programming

Yes. If someone is at the point where they are questioning if they are or are not elite, then they clearly would have a good sense of where their limits lie. If they do not, then that answers the...

Re: San Francisco Crossfit- Worth It?

Try it out one day before you make a commitment and see how much it sucks.

Not trying to dissuade you, but I used to live around 3.5 miles from SFCF (SOMA) and from my apartment that would have...

Re: Uneven floor in my garage

Hello Henry--welcome to the board.

There are a couple of threads about this already you can search for, but most garage floors have a 1/8"-1/4" per foot slope, which is significant. There are a...

Re: Pendlay Elite Bumpers and Bar Set

It is an investment--you are investing in your own physical betterment. And you are going about it the right way. Buy quality equipment up front, little by little, as you can afford it. Many of us...

Re: Pendlay Elite Bumpers and Bar Set

To save some $ you could trade-off rubber with metal plates from craigslist. If I did it all over again, I'd 45's, 25's and 10's in rubber, the rest in steel.

Re: Again Faster Customer Svc

Out of curiosity, how'd you bend it?

I have also been impressed with their customer service--always get an email back within hours.

Re: Inov-8

The fit isn't consistent across models. I'm a 12 in just about everything. My XF 210's run really snug while my F-Lite 195's are a little too loose with too much space in the toe box. I should...

Re: Rogue vs Again Faster

Ditto. I have the AF at home and if I could do it over again I would pay the extra for the Rogue. I suspect the lady you are shopping for would also appreciate a less aggressive knurl.

They're even cheaper here: www.6pm.com (wfs)

It's the zappos clearance site...no quasi-shadiness involved.

Re: Need travel shoe recommendation

I have the same situation--on the road every week for work and don't want to carry two pairs of work out shoes. The 195s are my travel shoe. They seem to be the best balance of a shoe for CF,...

I'm kind of a shoe wh0re, and have a couple of the pairs you are looking at. I would definitely advise against the mt20v2--they starte falling apart on me after about 5 workouts. the construction...

Re: cheap bumper set

I'll third Fringe Sport.

I picked up a set from them over Black Friday--delivered to San Diego within 3 days. At the time, they had "hybrid" sets that had Hi-Temps for the 10's and 15's, and...
