-Don't look up but definitely don't look down either. Fix your gaze somewhere in the middle keep it there.
-Follow through with your hips, you are stopping short of lockout it...

There are all different types of gripping strength so one does not necessarily translate into the other very well. I have similiar numbers to you and was able to rep a 1 the first time I tried it...

Do you do any type of massage/foam rolling/tennis ball stuff on your lower body right now? If not I'd definitely give that a go on your entire lower body, it's pretty painful but worth it.

I had always done what you had suggested as well but at the Oly Seminar/Fundraiser that Greg Everett had in DC he stated that you want to allow your wrists to go back.
