Voodoo Floss Bands while grappling?

Anyone know if this will work? I usually wear CWX, Spun or Skins while rolling and a lot of the time I also wear a compression knee sleeve but the sleeve keeps sliding off and it's getting hot...

I wanted a rubber one initially. At this point I'm getting close to just getting a regular atlas stone (or two or thee) and putting in horse stall mats. Probably about the same cost overall.
