In several of the books Sears has written, he suggests wine with cheese as an evening snack.
Unfortunately, if memory serves, you get less beer than wine if you follow his guidelines :ranting2:

If your looking for a (relatively) plain scale, COSTCO/Price Club has a digital scale for ~$20.
Lets you zeroize the scale after putting a plate/bowl on it & measures in imperial/metric.
